I'm finally Allison full-time. Out at work (though I'm taking vacation this month), out at the bank, out to the family, and I've been out everywhere else for a long time.
I got my new driver's license yesterday (replacing the temporary one I got last week), with my new name and my new gender and the ugliest picture of me yet. So all of my official IDs (passport, SS card, license) are now in my legal name (except for the birth certificate; changing it is going to be pretty involved.) I mostly remember to sign my correct name now.
I still have a bunch of things to chase up -- credit card, insurance IDs, personal E-mail, I'm sure there's more -- but I hope my daily life will be entirely in my new name by sometime in January. Just in time to get my name on the waiting list for SRS.
I'm still pretty overwhelmed. I still have a lot of psychological issues to deal with (not trans-related, just me-related.) And I'm still working on getting a good selection of clothes for various situations. I'm still waiting for my AA-cup breasts (or is it AAA?) to grow up to a respectable size. And I still have to get used to being Allison for real.
Oh, yeah, IIRC Christmas is happening sometime this month, I'd better start doing something about that.
But, on the whole, this is a lot better than living as a guy.
