Mia.Elora

Greetings!

My name is Mia.

I've just recently decided to transition (MtF) after moving to the west coast (USA.)  I was born, raised, and spent most of my life in different parts of the country that are not very forgiving of someone being trans.  I've identified as genderfluid since my teen years (I'm currently in my mid-late thirties) and have been content with that, but I have never felt quite right.  Then, a couple years ago, my family moved to the west coast, and it slowly worked its way around in the back of my head for a while, until I finally realized that this is what I needed.

Looking back, I can see earmarks in my life (all the way back to pre-teen years) that light up like lamp-posts, lighting the way to this goal.

I am very new to the transition process and am trying to learn as much as possible so that I minimize any mistakes I might make.

As an aside, I am a gamer geek, science nerd, avid reader, and cat-lover (dogs are okay, but cats are for me.)

It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, and I hope to find some friends here, as well.

Welcome to the club Mia.
There is definitely an preferred order to doing things transition related.  Many people dive in without guidance and do the wrong things first which brings them some grief later on.  A good gender therapist helped me sort out all that.
And good luck with your transition.

Superficial fanny kissing friends are a dime a dozen, a TRUE FRIEND however is PRICELESS
