Hello! New here and want to say hi.Been a secret transgender most of my life until early last year when i finally decided to break loose and be myself. Not easy! My wife and i are now going to separate with a good chance of divorce! which means selling the house and finding a place to stay.I have great support from my brother!but my parents still do not know.I just turned 60 and want to live the rest of my life the way i have always felt inside! as a woman.Presently going through therapy with the hopes of some HRT in the near future.I dress most of the time now completely as victoria and not afraid to me myself anymore.Just thought i would say hi and tell all how i feel.

Welcome, and congratulations on breaking loose and finding yourself. You aren't the only one who has gone through this recently, not by a long shot.  There are many of us older folks who have come out and gone through some drastic changes in our lives.  (I'm one, age 63, out almost a year to my now ex-wife.)

One of the official folks will be along shortly with more information for you.  I just wanted to say "Hi!"

My personal transition path included medical changes.  The path others take may require no medical intervention, or different care.  We each find our own path. I provide these dates for the curious.

You are 5 years younger than I. But check this out and see if it applies. If so you may be able to salvage your relationship. http://www.desaction.org  look under Sons

Welcome to the club.  I came out at 57 a little over year ago and started living an authentic life for the first time as my preferred gender.  I have to report that it's been the best year ever!

I agree it is rough but being able to live with yourself is important.  I'm 55 and came out 14 months ago and today I feel better than I ever have.
