I am just getting into wigs myself, and am by no means an expert, but I am learning. If you haven't been to a wig store, where you can try our a variety of styles and colors, it's going to take a lot or trial and error to find something that works. From your photo, it looks a little like you may be pulling the hairline down too much. Women's hairlines are generally higher than you think they are, pay close attention to women' hair and test this.
What's the natural color of your hair? It's fun to try contrasting colors, but it may be easier to start by keeping with your own palette.
Lastly, you have to remember that mens' heads/faces tend to be larger than women', so lots of styles will just not ever work for us, just because of the way the style hits out lines. If you pull that wig you're wearing up a little, to get a more natural hairline, you'll probably find that that curl hits you right at your jawline, and will just not look right. If I were you, (and I really am in many ways), I'd try out some longer hair, try a few different textures (straight, wavy, more curly) to find one or more types that look good. I'll look into whether my wife knows off any good Seattle shops (she's from there).
Hope this helps. Good luck and have fun!
