I just want to share this, as I might have to adjust my rational about when to come out to my wife:

My computer is in a semi secluded spot in our home and I'm used to privacy when I'm on it.

I have a very large monitor so everything is quite large and clear.

I stepped outdoors for a second, when I came back in my wife and children were at my desk staring at my monitor.

Can you guess what was on the monitor at the time? Susan's Place Forum, Topic, Coming Out Of The Closet, Open to my own post joking about coming out of the closet. !, !!, !!!.  :o

Turns out they just wanted me to look at a video they had made.

'Whew', I say to myself 'they didn't notice', and I go to collapse the window, and guess what?  I hit the wrong icon and all of my recent documents pop up, including large pictures of me trying to do my own makeup for the first time. !, !!!, !!!!!.  :o  :o

I don't think they noticed those either, as I was in the way of the monitor, but holy crap.

I think I have to have a conversation with my wife.

You have one of two options. Come out of the closet or stop viewing Susan's.

Knock, knock...  I see your Freudian slip showing...

Just maybe there's something in the back of your mind TRYING to be 'caught'.  You may want to consider a more controlled reveal.

The conversation may be easier with starting with "Honey, I have something to tell you" rather than "Honey, you have some explaining to do."

Yes. Yes. and Yes.

Quite a moment of realization.

I think I'll sit for a while and let my heart rate drop.

i don't know how old the children are but it certainly sounds like they would have seen the site...

Amazing how we do that to ourselves

As discussed in your prior thread, probably not a good idea to open with "Honey, we've got to talk.  Did you know you're Lesbian?"

If she is not blind, she has seen it and probably kept her mouth shot because the kids were in the room. I'd say it's time to tell her everything. Don't wait before it's too late.

My Plan:

I want to tell her in a clear and concise way.

The last thing I want to say before she speaks is: "You must have a million questions, please ask me them."

The one thing I want to convey during our talk is how I have felt all these years.

The only thing I can think of is "Cover your left eye with the palm of your left hand, now just keep it there for 30 years."

Ugh.

Oh, as far as the kids go, I don't think it will be much of a problem if mom is OK, they are tweens so mostly ignore what mom and dad do anyway.  And, if it is any indication, they both love the cartoon 'Futurama', and one of their favorite episodes is 'Neutopia' where the characters exchange sexes.
