I have a nasopharyngeal endoscope stuck down my nose into my throat every 4 weeks as a screen for my cancer. Ihad one today and it was all clear!
I have a PET scan in February which is a critical one but my medics are starting to talk about a remission which is wonderful news.
I was told by my surgeon that I'm one of the most determined and hard nosed people he has met. He then paused and said, considering the life you have been through that is not surprising.
I got home and spoke to Sue by phone and she was looking forward to be released from hospital. She is feeling fine.
I'm feeling good, I will never be able to speak very well as one vocal cord is dead, my hearing is crap, my tastebuds are dead and I don't produce saliva so eating is interesting but life is lovely and I am me.
Never say never.
