Mia1990

Hello All,

My name is Mia and I am a young black Transgender female. I am fascinated by others stories so I spend time watching videos, reading blogs, posts and now I have found this forum. I am 26 Black live in Mass and a very outgoing individual. My journey began in 2011 when I realized that I was a female living the wrong body but always knew as a young child I wanted to wear a wedding dress when I got married, wanted to be a girlfriend, wife, mother, sister and aunt. I am now living my life out the way I have always seen it. I am on hormones and have been since last year and my life could not be better. My family, co-workers and friends have been the gifts that keep on giving they are just so supportive. I hope to one day dedicate time to helping the youth and showing up for them when they need help. Janet Mock says it best "the power of pretty is strong," and she is right because I look like such a female, soft voice, etc. I do not face decimation often, not in the restrooms like I did at first and at times I find that men are still cruel to me. My ex-boyfriend broke up with me because he was afraid of his family or friends finding out, yet he will not exit my life. To date: I have performed the name change, social security change, student loans and various other forms--I do not mess around haha. I can help guide any of you who have questions. Thank you for allowing me to introduce myself.

Feel free to follow me on Twitter: @Mia_Jean23

I welcome new friends please follow me on Twitter

Thank you loves :)

  Hi Mia,

I'm Jeanette and I wanted to welcome you to the forums also. How I envy the younger folk getting to start their journeys so young. I am a late starter at 64. I hope you find you like it here and feel free to join in the conversations giving your take on the topics offered. I hope you ask your question and share your experiences with us newer folk.

  Welcome Mia
