Wow. It was right about a year ago I initially came out as gay. (I just knew I couldn't pretend to be attracted to girls anymore). Almost immediately I started shaving my legs and pits, started wearing makeup and remembering little Wanda. By April 2016 I was out to my 12-step group and my immediate family as a trans-woman. Couple of months later and I was dressed anytime I went out. I was still living with my, now, ex-wife and it was awkward and frustrating. I started laser hair removal in December, and I just had my 3rd treatment 2 weeks ago. The end of 2016 I finally moved out and started living full time. Started HRT 1-10-17. I just got new glasses and started a long painful course of dental procedures to give me a decent smile and good teeth. OMG - cleansing, moisturizing, shaving, make up, shopping, starting a new wardrobe, shoes glorious shoes, putting up with stares, explaining me to people that I care to and a plethora of other stuff you guys can all relate to. All that and surgery not even on the horizon. Not complaining, worth every minute, it's just a lot of work. Being told I am doing this with grace and class as well as these before and afters is priceless though. Just thought I'd throw in an update on Wanda.

P.S. Support groups and good friends is essential.
