I'm exhausted

Well it's been the craziest, happiest, most confusing, challenging, wild four months since I came out.
It now feels like the trans coaster has stopped, I've gotten off, my legs are wobbly and I feel a little dizzy. I'm now in the queue waiting with gender clinic ticket in hand, I can't imagine what that ride's going to be like. I'm just exhausted thinking about it.
I know this must be a common experience, so what do you ladies do to re-energize your batteries? I'm not depressed or anxious, just really, really tired.

Peace

Shy

Focus on your goals, where you want to be, stay positive, spend time with friends, relax and have a drink, dance the night away! Spoil yourself from time to time. ;)
I am not a medical doctor, nor a scientist - opinions expressed by me on the subject of HRT are merely based on my own review of some of the scientific literature over the last decade or so, on anecdotal evidence from women in various discussion forums that I have come across, and my personal experience

Hi Shy

I am going to go for a ride in my pickup just as soon as I get the oil changed, showered and finish packing. Just me and the road.

  Hugs,

Yea just try to chill
And Jeanettes Idea of a good road trip sounds to me bliss.
My baby is still just gathering dust :(

So now you are going to start seeing psyche and getting ready for hormones?
For me ther was an extreme sense of calm getting my hormones, it calm down the whole frantic race for advancement.

Yes, I'm in the queue for the gender clinic. Could be a looooong wait here in the U.K. though. I've been accepted just haven't got a starting date yet, so everything's in limbo land just now.

Maybe you could go private for hormones first?

That sounds like fun to me.  I remember my off the beaten path road trips and just get lost and come what may.  The North Carolina mountains are great for this.  Sure wish I was going with you -- something about that quiet type of fun.

Not at all Jeanette, It's nice to hear about your plans. It's certainly relevant to my post, these threads are like little road trips in themselves. Made me think of my old vintage harley and the adventures I had on that. Good memories.

Thanks for sharing :)

Well its a proper roller coaster ride, coming out to my wife and kids, getting told to move out, finding a flat and getting on the list. Today not feeling very fem so did something about it, shower and a good shave and face cream , lipstick. Stripy skirt with a white T and black cardy . Now on a high with a small glass of red and on here back to myself, my true self, just need the doc to give me HRT next Thursday when I see her-

Good for you!!  I hope you feel fem all of the time (because you ARE). ;)
And I hope you get your HRT next week, too.

My wife also wanted nothing to do with me after her father outed me to an entire church congregation and told everyone I had a feminine demon. That was thirty years ago now when there was very little help available for us trans folk. I ended up homeless and living in a squat in the end.
Thankfully face cream and war paint are now part of my daily routine. I'm out socially to a fashion, but when you don't pass all that well it can be really tiring with all the misgendering.
I'm off to the docs now, and it's 'trans visibility day' so visible I shall be. :)
Hope you get the HRT sorted. I keep asking but I don't think my doc wants to prescribe until I've been to the gender clinic. I'm o.k. with it though, I'll get there eventually. I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for my doc. encouraging me to be myself.

Peace and love and all that good stuff,

Shy

Well, back from the doc's.
Sat in the waiting room representing transgender visibility day.
I made a little extra effort with the makeup and sat tall waiting for my name to be called. I think everyone in the room threw me a side glance, some a double or even a triple take. It felt good to be me.
Doc was very supportive as usual. Feel much better today.

Props to channel 4 in the U.K. for having a transgendered presenter for the day.
