Is there a way to reduce broad shoulders?

I saw a transwoman on facebook Sona Avedian who used to be a big bulky Marine with thick, muscular broad shoulders and neck muscles and now she is this itsy bitsy teeny thing (and very pretty too!) and so petite and her shoulders arent broad anymore.

Mine are a bit broad and I'd like to reduce their profile and broadness.

Any ideas?

It depends.  If they are broad due to muscles then HRT will reduce that in time, over the course of a year or more.  If the broadness is due to bone structure then that will not change.

If you're comparing yourself to CIS women then be sure you are comparing to others of a similar height and not to women six inches shorter.

Probably a smaller person than you realize, just bulked up muscle. Look at Barry Bonds now. About 60lbs lighter and almost unrecognizable.

Clothing helps. Cami tops, tanks, scoop necks, and v-necks work well. Flared dresses. :)

The transwoman from hell that sets up unrealistic expectations for everyone. Not her fault....but the fact remains. Do yourself a favor and look up supermodels and note their height, weight and body structure. Beauty is not a one size only proposition. This is much an attitude thing as it is a physical thing. Good luck, hon!

Good posture, shoulders back and down helps some. Arms tight into the body and hands held in front also creates the illusion of a smaller frame. Just think small and compact until it becomes part of your psyche.

None of this is scientific of course, just what I do. Thought it might help some.

I've been on HRT for 4 1/2 years and seen no change.  It feels all like muscle, not bone structure. I have no idea her height.  she's cute as a button though.

That was my point. If you see the mr olympia, it's not normal to be 275-300lbs and 5'8-5'10. Way not normal.

It won't change if your shoulder extra width isn't due to being muscular . Sorry  :(

I remember when shoulder pads were in fashion several years ago, so at one time broad shoulders would have been in style.

BTW, I thought those shoulder pads looked stupid, as did my wife.
I'm a 65 year old male who has been thinking about SRS for many years.  I also was a  full cross dresser for a few years.  I wear a bra, pantyhose and nail polish daily because it just feels right.

Started HRT April 17, 2019.

You could be absurd, like me, and starve it off (please don't do that), or you could wait for the HRT to hopefully take effect. I'll admit that I started my transition as someone who had somewhat of a fitness model physique, and I did engage in modeling on the side. Now, my shoulders are under 17 inches across...

How this has happened is that I've been transitioning for three years nonstop, haven't worked my arms out in several months, and have taken my t-blockers religiously. I'll also point out that, whenever my testosterone-blocker dosage was a normal Spiro dosage, the muscle relatively fell off of me, notably in the shoulders. However, that may also be a result of having waaaayyy more muscle than was ideal for women, whereas now I'm just built like a ballerina or something (I.e., really toned, but not bulky).

In short, time on hrt, continuous use of t-blockers, and allowing the muscle to atrophy. It can be really physically painful, btw. Good luck.

I use to work out quite a bit and became rather muscular and bulky, looked like a box with arms and legs

Although I've trimmed down allot, partly due to injuries incurred and HRT has turned my chest into breasts I still feel kinda bulky sometimes

Kinda wish I could do something about my shoulders also

Breast implants.  What you are seeing when you conclude that someone's shoulders are broad is actually their relative size compared to other features.  Increasing the size of the breasts decreases the appearance of both the shoulder girdle and the stomach.

There is a caveat though.  In most natal females, measurement at the breasts tends to be similar to the measurement at the hips.  Going too big on breast size can also make you look out of proportion if you don't get some growth at the hips.  In my opinion though, it is easier to use clothing to create the illusion of wider hips than it is to decrease the apparent width of the shoulders.

YMMV.
