Honey, don't let anything hold you back!  You might be surprised how much hair returns after a good six months of HRT, especially considering your apparent youth.  And further down the line, you can always get transplants to fill in what doesn't return.  Even if your hair fails to materialize, though, there's still a way forwards -- namely, some really high-quality wigs.  There are lots of women in the world with hair issues, and those who take their appearance seriously don't skimp on their hair systems.

Could HRT really help promote hair growth? Due to "MPB" my hair at the moment lifeless!! There's no volume, it looks dry an frizzy along with zero volume an split ends. An to make matters worse it's beginning to thin out especially at the crown of my head.
When ever I comb my hands through my hair there's normally between 3 and 6 hair follicles are left between my fingers. It truly takes a toll on my self-esteem. Some days I dwell and dwell on it to the point where I become severely depressed.

Hi Vanessa, you make a beautiful woman and  you are very sexy in that dress. I would put some makeup on to cover any 5 o'clock shadow and invest in a better wig that doesn't look like a wig. I don't agree with comments about your eyes. Many women have more masculine faces, especially the many that resemble their fathers. My cousin Sheri is in that category. Enjoy your femininity!

I'm in the same boat as you. I take after my mother's side in looks. I get most of my facial features from my grandmother (hooded eyes, long nose) and my MPB from her side, as well (quite a few males in that side of the family have the same exact pattern). But, with the right wig and some makeup, I look great! I saw myself in the mirror and wanted to start kissing her, I mean me. (jk. But I loved the way I looked and almost began to cry from happiness and relief).

In my opinion, you are a very, very beautiful woman. You pass so well that if I were to see you on the street the idea that you are transgender would be the farthest thing from my mind. I wish I had your ability to pass that well.

There is no magic bullet to regrow head hair. If there was, it would be a billion dollar industry. Or, there might be, and they are hiding it so people will spend billions on all the ineffective, and sorta works products you have to buy and use ROL, as opposed to an actual solution with a one time payment. From what I understand, HRT may help stop further head hair loss, and may regrow some fuzzy hair, but not full length hair. Of course, every one is different, etc., with varying results. Point is, you have to accept who you are and understand that you may have some limitations in your transition. We can't fight our genes. We can fight back with hormones, and become as close to our ideal self as we desire. Don't be depressed. If the only negative is hair loss, the positives you can gain far out weigh that IMO. I would rather be a female in all other aspects with a hair issue than a male lacking the female aspects I desire with the same hair issue. The good news, girls can wear wigs.

=\ thank you for your support. It took me a while to gather up the courage to let that out. MPB runs rampant in males. I'm pretty new to Susan's Place so I'm sure this topic must of been talked about at least once. I'm just so surprised looking at pictures of all these beautiful trans girls that I really haven't seen anyone suffering from this issue. Unless I'm the only one on here who has been dealt a sh%tty hand in life. Not only am I dealing with being locked in a body I have no desire to be in but to make everything ->-bleeped-<-ing worse God had to ->-bleeped-<- me over with everything =\ I'm going to stop cause I'm starting to feed into misery.

Well, many of the pretty trans girls here are wearing wigs. Stop beating yourself up. Your hair does not define your gender. This process can be long and difficult. We are here for you to help in any way we can. Based on the pic you posted, you look awesome. Talk to us. We are your sisters, and collectively have gone through everything you are feeling. Use PMs if you feel more comfortable with that. Don't shut down. Feel free to PM me, or anyone else and ask anything you wish. The point of this community is to help.

While Sinclair is right that there's no magic bullet, starting HRT as soon as possible will mitigate any further losses, and may help some when it comes to restoration.  Not completely, but enough?  Perhaps.  Anecdotally, my hair was very fine and receding at the corners when I started HRT.  It's still fine, but not nearly as fine as it used to be.  I regained a couple millimeters of my recession.  More importantly, what thickened up the most (the back of my head) was eventually used to fill in my hairline completely.  I know girls who've been able to grow their hair down to their waist after (aggressive) HRT. 

Now, maybe you'll respond positively, maybe you won't.  It's not something prescribed for hair loss, because HRT brings about so many other dramatic changes.  But if you think you're going to transition, you might as well get started now, and halt any further testosterone poisoning.

But yes, I went to Toby Meltzer for all my work -- facial surgery (for me it was "facial sex-reassignment surgery"), bottom surgery, boobs.  Way back in the day, it was Portland, Oregon.  Charming city, I hope to return there some day.

You truly do pass well for not having taken hrt yet. There is only tiny masculine features I can see but as some else said, some women have those too. Beautiful dear, congrats on starting hrt! You already pass well so you'll be unquestionable for sure once you've take hrt

Mine is hair implants of my hair... I had bad MPB, only had a skunk tail through the middle left... to what you can see in my avatar pic...that is all my hair

You look good! Try to cover your 5 o'clock shadow tho! If you're not able to afford laser hair removal you can use an orange/red concealer over the beard area and then cover it with a full coverage foundation. You could also use a matte lipstick if you can't find the concealer
