my experience in life is that nothing....and I mean nothing good comes from sticking your head in the sand. Whatever happens, has already happened. Fear is a waste of your time and energy. The important thing is that you've been given a set of circumstances that serves as a warning. Heeding that warning is the mature and prudent thing to do. If there is any kind of problem, being proactive can only pay off as you'll  have headed off whatever it may be and start to rectify it in the now. Later can bring nothing positive to you. Don't give this any of your valuable time. Just don't ignore it either. Drop it in your Doctors lap and let him assuage your fear and then you can move on.
You'll have many moments like these in your life...just part of the game, Sweetie. But this needs to be addressed and gotten out of the way so you can take care of more important stuff.

Seeing I'm not HRT yet I would see a doc as the others have said. Maybe you r on a later tanner scale? Talk to ur doc first before U freak out! Maybe look up others who lactate on this site? I'm sure U will be fine Girl!

When I got my paperwork to start HRT, one of the physical changes mentioned was galactorrhea - a milky discharge from the nipples. It says to contact the doctor because it could be caused by the estrogen or something else. I don't think you need to go to the emergency room but contact your doctor about it as soon as you can.

Same thing happened to me when I first started hrt. First time I woke up to both sides wet spots on my sleep shirt. Not a lot but enough to still enough to show after I woke up. Then it happened again like a week later on one side only. Whole lot more but only on one side. Dr said it was normal and I should not worry. The joys of having a medical portal where I can share pics and etc with my doctor and get a quick response. I was a little freaked. Lol. This was when I was giving myself shots. When it happened I was on spiro, estrodial(shots) and progesterone. Has not happened since changed to pellets for the estradiol.

Yes, my DR has told me she thinks it is due to my HRT. Nonetheless she ordered some bloodwork to be done to be on the safe side.

Better safe than sorry Ashley. Good girl for listening and having it checked out.

Wow, people, calm down.  It happens.   ::)
I lactated for two years...due to HRT.  My doctor was fully aware, monitored my prolactin, and asked me if I wanted to take something to stop it or adjust my levels to stop it.  I did not because the tubular development made my breasts grow.  My mammogram technician even pointed out how my breast had grown over the year from my previous mammogram.  My doctor had thyroid tests done to ensure it was not cancer, and she even said it is not likely due to that, but we'll get the tests on the record.  She knew it was from high levels of E and progesterone.  My E levels were that of third trimester pregnancy.  No surprise I started lactating...

The first time I saw it was when my boob got smashed getting my mammogram.  The tech came over and said, oh don't worry, honey, it just some discharge from your breast and wiped it up like it was nothing. :)

I expressed them daily and kept it going and had good development from it.  4-5 streams at a time during the peak of it.  BTW, hand expressing is WAY faster than breast pumps. lol  Just FYI...
Some people say I'm apathetic, but I don't care.

I should mention. I saw my Endo and things are looking great. After doing blood work, and checking my hormonal levels she told me that everything is where it should be! in other words, no tumors! And, that the lactating in my specific case is nothing to be concerned about. I think she plans to up my dosage by next week or so :)!!!

That's really cool Ashley. I'm hoping my doc will up mine in a couple weeks also. I've given him enough hints for him to know I want to.
