I have met with three plastic surgeons. One thinks two stage is necessary and the other two do not. I know of no objective study or even side-by-side comparison that would support the idea that two stage is needed or more likely, in what specific cases it is needed. In terms of my consultations, however, I note that the "two-stager" has been doing breast surgery for longer than the other two combined. Without data, I wonder if it is more like you're born a Catholic or you're born a Protestant. The other side is clearly nuts.
Personally, not sure if it is worth it...
