So the last month has really been the month of body hair for me. First it was the long black inner leg hair that came out of nowhere. Now it is creeping down and around the backs of my legs like a snake, very weird. Then it was my happy trail coming in stronger. Next, about 3 weeks ago, my partner pointed out that I had a lone chest hair, dark and curly. NOW, I looked in the mirror and caught the light just right to see that my 2 day facial hair growth is honest to god stubble. It's sparse and only under my chin but its really stubble, not just normal skin hair that's coming in again.

My question is, did any one else have the same onslaught of body hair hit them all at once? I expected to get more leg hair but I am SHOCKED  to see a chest hair or face stubble only 5+months in. I don't come from a very hairy family so I didn't think that this would happen so quickly. Hell, my dad hardly has leg hair! For folks without strong body hair genes, When did you start seeing your's coming in?

I don't have strong body hair genes; but was very surprised to have stomach hair within just 2 months or so on T. Only within the last few months have I noticed black hairs growing on my thighs and some not very noticeable hairs on my chest. I still don't really have facial hair. My 'moustache' is almost showing some signs of transitional hairs at the sides and you can almost see a shadow. In strong light you can see the peach fuzz on my cheeks has the pattern of a proper beard; so I can't wait until that turns into stubble. Strangely the peach fuzz on my chin has become longer. And within 6 months on T I have noticed a few random black hairs under my chin.

Not too worried about facial hair not coming in yet as for some trans men it does take a few years. There's one you tuber I follow called Jammiedodger whose facial hair didn't come in until over 2 years on T.

By the 5 month mark, everything you describe except upper area chest hair (which is starting to appear now).

I'm about 8 months at this point, lower body hair patterns and length is identical to the average dude. Hairier than my male housemate. At this point I have defined happy trail and plenty of stomach fur. And the forearm hair looks like it's caught up and changed color as well.

The facial hair situation started with maybe one or two what look like dark terminal hairs at the sides and on the chin/upper lip. They were hard to spot on the sides for a while, until one day I was resting my chin on the back of my hand on my desk and noticed the definite prickling sensation caused by the hairs. They were no longer soft vellus hairs and that seemed to happen suddenly, as if overnight. I went and checked out the sides and there was a whole bunch of new dark hairs there I hadn't spotted. Essentially the mustache is there (rubbing it feels like actual sandpaper), it will just need a while for those hairs to develop the sort of diameter of the average man's. Judging by the rate these things occurred so far, a year or two I guess. Now I just have to worry about not getting a "patchy" beard and having it all connect up - from the look of the hairs so far that won't be a problem.

The men in the family are averagely hairy - my dad's a dark-haired guy who was always able to sport a decent beard etc. so hopefully I have some of that gene magic going on. Some people do have better luck - maybe for once I will. My housemate has become self-conscious of his lack of happy trail or manly fuzz etc. after seeing mine, and I notice he doesn't have facial hair that connects up fully (might be why he doesn't grow it). It sucks some people get a raw deal genetically with that. I understand the self-conscious aspect of body hair and facial hair when you actually desire it, now.

Interesting, I'm not expecting much body hair, as I said my dad hardly has anything more then stray back and chest hairs. My brother on the other hand, has features more closely of my mother and is starting to experience head hair retreating like my maternal grandfather. Its an interesting experiment to see if I, looking just like my father, will have hair patterns more closely matching his or my maternal grandfather.

I guess I'm not surprised that this is all happening but purely just how quickly it's cropping up. I feel like folks from hairy families are those who transform into Chewbacca in the first 6 months.

In one sense it feels incredibly fast - in another I'm impatient as hell and it's not fast enough.

I never had hair feeling like it was all showing up at once, mine has been a consistent, gradual thing. It has felt like each week focuses on a different part of my body for hair to grow though. At this point my body has hair all over it so it's getting harder to notice where more is coming in.

I'm not overly close with any male family members but as far as I know none of them have been that hairy so I'm not sure where all this hair is coming from.

I started getting a slight mustche after a month or so first, and I was thrilled!  But its still baby hair/new hair after 7 and a half months.  My sideburns are starting to grown towards the front of my face, they're pretty pointed right now.  Reminds me of one of Prince's old facial hair styles. [emoji1]  I was hoping to grow a goatee on the front of my chin (partially since the character I cosplay as also has it), but so far its only growing under it.

It seems like every month, I too am finding hair in strange places.  My happy trail is definitely thicker, but I now have tummy hair to match it.  Last month I noticed arm hair, chest hair and hair in the crack of my ass!  That last one threw me for a loop! [emoji21]   Last week I noticed hair on my legs for the first time.  I've never had to shave my legs before transitioning, so its a new experience.  And last night while at my transgender group, I noticed hair growing on the backs of my hands!

I'm gonna end up a bear, I just know it. [emoji23]

I'm creeping up on 6 months.

I have some chest hair that's pretty spread out but very noticeable, not much on the belly, my lower legs are a forest but my thighs have patches of hair which is really odd. My forearms are still bond but much harrier and not much hair on my upper arms but I've noticed dark hairs are creeping across my shoulders towards my back now.

Facial hair? My mustache is very blond, the area of a go-t is also blond but darkening, and I have a chin beard that's black. My cheeks are just now starting to get a smattering of black hairs.

It sounds like you and I have very similar hair patterns but I am bit behind you in quantity. I also don't have much of anything to show on my chest and shoulders. Are you blond on top? I am very blond but all my "accessory hair" is very dark. I don't much care for a blond beard so I'm excited about dark happy trail and stubble on my neck area.
