I don't think Ireland has gay marriage. We do in UK though.
Edit: oh, perhaps it does. Oddly enough I was talking to a friend from Ireland earlier this afternoon who said gays couldn't get married where he was and abortion was still illegal. Is it regional I wonder.
Edit edit: Asked him to clarify - right, gay marriage legal in Republic of Ireland, but not in Northern Ireland where it has been continually blocked by the DUP. I thought he was in the Republic at one point, not NI, my bad. So UK does have gay marriage except in one area. And so does Eire. The reasons for blocking it appear to be quite tribal and petty rather than staunchly religious. Maybe someday they'll come round.
