hello
In a few months I'll start my shots (fingers crossed), and also in two month I'll be 19y.o
In December 2016, I had an appointment to the Endocrinolog and the nurse measured me, I was 5'2.3. Now, months later, I am eating like a normal person, so I am not that skinny as I was before (94 lbs), I believe I weight more than I was but I didn't check.

Surprisingly... Today I stood next to my mother, she's approximately 5'4, and I am almost in her height. So it means I am finally not that short. It means I'm still growing, right?
BUT, since I am about to start my shots, I'm afraid I'll lost the height I can have.
Do you think there's a chance with the T that I'll be 5'7? Or at least 5'5-5'6?

Your growth plates fuse together for most people by the time they're around 18. In a very small number of people their growth plates didn't fuse together until their very early 20s. Sorry to say don't get your hopes up. On the plus side improving your posture can make you appear or actually be slightly taller.

you don't think it's possible, since I got taller? I don't have any chances to get taller than I am now?

Sort of depend whether you were measured right. Was the nurse unsure what height to put down as you were a bit in between? Was your posture better than it usually was when you were getting measured which added more height?

Another thing to consider is were you wearing shoes with a bit of a platform when you stood next to your mum? Or wear you wearing shoes and she wasn't?

Statistically at 19 it's not possible and I wouldn't want you to be disappointed that you don't get the changes you want on T; like height.

Possible, but don't hold your breath.

I started T at 18 and I ended up growing about 2" after being stagnant for years (from 5'1" to 5'3") and that was an abnormal amount. 5'4" or 5'5" if you're luckier might be achievable especially if you work on good posture, but 5'7" would be extremely unusual. Not impossible, but definitely highly unlikely.

I also find that the height people tell you they are tends to be slightly off from what the doctors say, give or take an inch. Did someone else tell you that you're almost the same or was it your guess? I know I've thought I'm the same as others but then a third person says "no, you're a good inch or two different." I would encourage getting properly measured again when you can. That's the most accurate way to know if you've grown. Comparisons can be iffy.

I was one of those rare individuals who grew a little over an inch sometime between the ages of 18 and 22. I went from just under 5'5" to right at 5'7". And that was on my body's natural hormones. If I had been on T at the time, I'm sure I would have gained more height. In my case it was genetics, my mom said she had the same thing happen to her during that age.

If you are still growing at 19yrs, it may be possible to gain some more height. But don't get your hopes up too high. I agree with what others have said and get your height correctly measured. And maybe ask your family members if they gained any height after 18 to see if it runs in your family.

Elis - Maybe, I guess it can happen. About my posture, it's unlikely, I tried hard to make myself heigher, I remember that.
No, I wasn't wearing any shoes, I have long neck so my shoulders when a bit lower than hers (about 1cm I think) but I was almost her height.
We both didn't wear any shoes.
I know, that's okay, I already understand that I won't be 6'0 like my dad, but you know it's nice to see I got heigher.

Viktor - Alright bro :)

CursedFireDean - I will try working on my posture. Also I have CP, so it doesn't really help with the posture haha.
My mother told me, and then we stood next to each other, at first I didn't believe to her but she was right.
I think I'll measure myself soon, you're right, thank you!

kylen kantari - Good one, I will ask my mother if she was still growing after 18.

I'm also one of those 'rare' individuals who kept growing until age 25. I thought my height had settled at 5'4 but when I had a medical at age 25 I had grown to 5'6 . It was a pleasant surprise.  That too is pre-T growth ( starting T this Monday).

Looks like you too are one of us rare ones who keep growing until mid 20's.

Teenage boys often experience a growth spurt just before or during puberty, which is what you will be doing as soon as you start Testosterone. Like others has said, don't expect much, maybe just an inch or two.

At least that is what happened to me in a previous life.

I'm in a similar situation. My adult height has been between 5' 1 3/4" and 5' 2" since I graduated from college. However, I've had two doctor's offices measure me 5' 3" since starting testosterone. Am I growing? Do men get measured differently? Am I standing taller either from feeling better or wearing a really constricting binder?
