Its hard to find a therapist who specializes in gender issues in my opinion. Lots of them will say its a topic they specialize in, but when you show up they have no specialty in it at all or maybe took a class when going for their degree. This is especially true on
psychologytoday.com, where most list gender identity as an issue they specialize, but in fact its more an area they are willing to work with people on (but again they have no real knowledge of what they are doing.)
Unfortunately, those who do have some specialty in it are terrible at advertising their practices. Keep searching. Focus on their own individual websites. If they discuss gender issues at in their website its more likely that they really mean they have experience working with these issues (psychologytoday.com is just checking off boxes, a custom made website with customized text more likely indicates a passion or at least a serious intent to help and work in those areas).
