Ryuichi13

I'm an anime fanboy, so when I connected with a particular anime, my friends at the time said, "you act like this character from the anime," whose name is Ryuichi.  I've been Ryuichi or Ryu for something like 13 years now, so I finally made it legally my name this past November.

I have a middle initial that's all that remains of my dead middle name, but that's an entirly different anime-related story! 😉

I think I'll just go with the female version of my given name.
Latina :) I speak Spanish, English and a bit of Portuguese.

I went with Ben, which is nothing like my birth name.  This is fine by me, since I've never liked what my parents called me.  Ben's a good, classic name, it's age-appropriate, and nobody I currently know has it.  And Ben Kenobi is my favorite Star Wars character.  So there's that.   8)

These are all great ways to find a name! I'm both excited and intrigued at the same time :D. I'm happy you all found your own name your own way, and at the same time it's making the gears in my head turn. I've been looking online for a while, but nothing's really clicking (no pun intended). I suppose now I'll go through the things I like and try to combine them and see if anything matches up :).

I knew somebody named Vicki and I just always loved the name. After taking this journey and battling "myself", I think it's a little fate that I loved the name that's Latin for victory.
