A couple of months ago I posted something about me living in the Caribbean and moving away for transitioning and a better life. I was overwhelmed to say the least due to my dysphoria. However, someone mentioned something about getting therapy and diagnosis online by a certified person who can also give out recommendations letter and prescriptions.

My question is: is this possible?

I live in the Caribbean and gender therapist are non-existent. I was diagnosed as transgender in the Netherlands two years ago but due to personal circumstances I didn't follow through with therapy. I would have already been on hrt.

If this is possible where do I begin? I don't mind travelling to Miami or other parts of the USA to get hrt or other treatments but I think I do need to be given a recommendation letter as I'm still looking to move to London, UK.

P. S. Also which is the best hair removal method for facial hair? Any clinic recommendations?

I'd check Psychology Today, this is where my boyfriend found his therapist and you can narrow your search down and even maybe try looking for someone who would do Skype or phone therapy?

Thank you for your reply and the tip of Psychology Today. I will definitely look into it. At this moment one that would do Skype with me would be lovely. I don't want to do the whole waiting process which will delay me more if I wait until I have moved back to Europe.

You could try Googling my therapist: Dr. Helma Seidl. She runs a gender counselling firm in Ottawa, but I know she does Skype for people who cannot see her face-to-face.
Her practice is called "Making a difference" in Ottawa.

My therapist is located in my country, Colombia, but he's internationally certified and also does Skype sessions. He's great, he's trans FTM, and speaks English.
