So I dropped by my wife's work tonight and she was working with another guy.  I was wearing jeggings and a nice looking shirt and no make up, just my hair pulled back in a pony tail.  My wife said hi to me and told me where to meet her when she got off work. The guy that was working with her asked her who I was and when she told him that i was her husband, he was in shock Beause  thought that I was a woman and he was floored that I was her husband.

My first real male fail that I am aware of  ;D ;D

I had a super crappy day at work, almost cried even.  When I finally made it home to sleep, I did the usual wash my face with a baking soda scrub.  I noticed for the first time that my skin is actually lighter than my avatar pict now, also less pink, more olive.  HRT is working, yay!  Finally something I notice in the face!

I came out to a friend who I hadn't seen for about 6 weeks last night, and even before I said anything she was staring, and asked whether I'd lost weight, because my face looked different somehow, maybe thinner? There's been no change in my weight since I last saw her, so it's got to be the HRT. I see everyone else too often for it to be noticeable, I guess.

So Yay, indeed!

Today was my first laser session down at the south pole.  I have been dreading it for many reasons but I finally conquered my fears and neither the embarrassment nor the pain were anywhere near what I expected!

One more small step taken but feels great to keep moving, no matter how slowly!

There's a semi-regular that came into work today (we often have hour long conversations while he's here), and the first thing he said to me was 'You look like you're 15 years younger! Or more feminine.'  ;D  :D ;D

Today I was being interviewed for a local newspaper in light of "Coming out week". I'm hoping it will be a positive story.

I also found out that my name (Rachel) means "little lamb" (or something similar) in Hebrew. That made me chuckle, haha.

I love this.  It's a small but such a powerful long remembered gesture.  I'm hoping for some of these at work also.

Speaking with a stranger in a coffee house today. I had just commented that my baby picture was the only one in black and white in my family even though I was the youngest by ten years. She said, "you must have been the princess."

April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

Being transgender is just a phase. It hardly ever starts before conception and always ends promptly at death.

They say the light at the end of the tunnel is an oncoming train. I say, climb aboard!

I had to go to the post office to pick up a parcel that had customs oweing.  As I was walking up the front path, a hillbilly-looking guy in farmer overalls was walking up the side path.  He put on a burst of speed so he could get to the door ahead of me and open it for me.  :)  Inside, as I was paying, he and the lady at the counter were teasing each other and being bratty.  She turned to me and said, conspiratorially, "I bet he's glad he doesn't live with me!" :)

Treated like a lady by a gentleman, and treated as one of the girls by a lady.  Yeah!   ;D

Not today, but last week.  I had to swing by my wife's work to switch vehicles.  One of the cooks was taking trash out and popped over because he thought my wife was leaving (she gives him rides sometimes).  I just tell him no we are switching vehicles and I think nothing further about it.  That evening she tells me that ye went inside and mentioned about the vehicle thing and said, "your wife is cute."

My sister just bought me a doll after I told her I liked it a lot.  Next Sat I'm dressing up day of the dead in a drab suit for her wedding.  A couple weeks after that I'm coming out to her.  I hope she realizes I identify with this doll.
