Hi everyone,

I'm a TSgt in the USAF and currently waiting to see what the future holds for trans folks in the military. I came out at work back in October of last year when the open policy became official, and started transitioning in April of this year, a few months before the ban was unofficially reinstated. Is anybody else here in the same boat? I don't know any other currently serving trans servicemembers, so it would be great to talk to you if you're out there.

I have a friend from my transgender support group that is in the Marine Corps. He came out and is in the same boat. I don't know as he is on Susan's. I'll contact him and find out. If he isn't, I'll ask if he's okay with me passing on his name and Facebook page.
I'm former USAF myself, SrA before I was pushed out. It was for other reasons than DADT or the trans ban.
