Yesterday, I went to the local library. I was doing homework, and my girlfriend doesn't have internet at her place, kind of really important for online classes. Anywho, the place had an elevator to the second floor, where I planned on hiding to get it done, and avoid the stares of the local conservative crowd. Oddly enough, one of the local guys held the elevator door for me, and then motioned for me to get off the elevator before him, and said good day ma'am. Apparently, I'm a touch more passable than I think I am. Even in my unisex work uniform. The ma'am's are starting to come a lot more frequently. Still none when without makeup.
I also received a phone call, from a place closer to home, for an interview. It is for a home for distressed children. I applied as Claire, and even in the cover letter for this place I disclosed that I am a transwoman. Right after the part where I told them I am going to college to become a clinical psychologist, with a focus on gender studies.
