Increased E and positive effects

I recently increased my estrogen, adding to my existing Estrogel some oral bio-identical estrogen, always under the supervision of my doctor. I'm also taking a little T, I'm post-op. The T was to help with skin, energy, well-being/motivation and although it did help to a certain degree, I will admit it wasn't as much as I hoped it was going to be + increasing it too much = pimples and too much body hair.

So far I noticed the increased E has given me:
- so much more energy (more than on T). I actually have more drive now, a zest for life, I want to do things. I was convinced testosterone would give me all that (which it hasn't to the extent that I was hoping for and no intent to further increase T) but then read Lena's old posts, making me reassess whether extra E could help.
-  a significantly improved mood. I'm happy for no apparent reason and very positive about things. :)
- increased libido but not to a point where it's nagging me every second. I just am "ready" and when the time comes, it will be perfect. :)
- increased self-confidence. I not only see a woman more often in the mirror but I feel pretty and sexy. A calm and cool confidence. I also don't feel like I have to wear make-up before going out. I feel confident enough to just...walk out and screw the rest! ;)
- better memory.
- better concentration. More in the moment rather than in my head.
- reduction in my abdominal distension and improved digestion.
- skin and hair that are somewhat less oily, hence more manageable. Still soft and in good condition.
- nipples that protrude more.

I feel younger, more alive!

Crossing my fingers this continues...and this is not placebo. Will keep you posted.

Things continue to be really good. My face is subtly changing, with cheeks becoming more plump giving me a more feminine, younger appearance, not that I was not feminine before but it's still nice to see the improvements. I am quite happy and in a great mood, most of the time. Calm, centered and focused. I'm digesting things better too. Libido is good. I think I might be losing weight. :)

KayXo,

I am happy for you.  ;)

Ever since I took my first doses of bio-identical Estradiol 3 years ago, I have felt the same way. I felt so good, I knew I could never go back to living without being under the influence of Estradiol. This was just right for me.

Since so many of us report similar effects, I have come to the belief that this is not placebo, but a real, albeit, poorly documented phenomenon. It is just my speculation that for us, mtf transgenders, we experience a euphoria that makes us feel complete, as we should have been all along. I do not experience any intoxicated feelings. In fact, I too, think more clearly and see myself in a much better way that can only be described as wonderful. I am at peace with the world and certainly much more personable than I was before.

It's great to follow you Kay - your posts are so detailed and I know you're careful. Dani - I couldn't agree with you more about the effects of E not being placebo. There's no way. I'm almost 14 months and a placebo would've worn off long ago. My mental state has never been better. Physically, too, I feel very good. I actually like looking in the mirror (even though almost everyone sees me as a dude) - I see the changes.
