Hi everyone,

I'm 7 months post op grs from Dr. Brassard and I just want to know if I should be worried or not...

About 2.5 months into recovery I had to have a hypergranulation growth removed from under my urethra and it seemed to set me back big time in my recovery. I'm 7 months in and have only has vaginal sex once after dilating all night and all morning until 11am. I was suggested by Dr. B TO get silicon dilators to sleep with and wear during the day because as much as I was healing well I was still very very tight and I still am. Has anyone else had this issue? He says it's my muscle and not my skin as it's elastic and stretchy but my problem is only at my entrance.

I also have yet to be able to have anything close to an orgasm... It's killing me... I do have slight feeling in my clitoris but if I play with it or use a vibrator it basically goes numb after a couple minutes and I can't even speak to penetration although I'm still dilating twice a day and it definitely doesn't feel Good. Am I doomed? :'(

I have to say that everything looks great thought and I have a depth of about 6" so everything is good there but I'd rather have a train wreck looking vagina with major sensation than vice versa :/

  Hi  sara,

I'm Laurie, I can't help you with an answer because I have not had GCS. Sorry. but perhaps someone else here can. I see that you are new here. So please let me say, Welcome To Susan's Place! Come on in and take a good look around.  Perhaps I can even get you to hop on over to the Introductions Thread and  create a post to tell us a little bit more about yourself so we can get to know you a little better and greet you properly. I'll add some links and information below that can help you get more out of our site. Please take time to become familiar with them especially the RED one as we are always getting questions that are answered there.

Hi Sara,

I am just past 8 months with Dr B and kinda know how you're feeling with the tightness. For me it has gotten better over the past few months. I can only say stick with what you're doing and you should eventually get more acclimated with things as time passes. I actually do 15 min with all three dilators once a day and believe it doesn't hurt to have longer dilations if needed. As far as sensation goes, it's still a bit numb inside however I have gained a lot of sensation at the interior entrance. Intercourse does feel a bit more pleasurable now than it did when I first started 2 months ago, hopefully this improves with time. My clitoral area and inner labia majora were very sensitive after surgery and have remained so. It does seem to take longer to achieve an orgasm and requires your mind to be in it as well. Honestly, I have not experienced one through intercourse and as of now doesn't feel possible unless the sensitivity improves. Hopefully someone else can chime in with that. Did the removal of the tissue cause you to miss dilations?

Hi, I am 5 months post op with Dr. B and have had intercourse, what I will say is you must be relaxed, our new parts are muscles which must be relaxed, also lubrication is a must. I learn the lesson the hard way, and was basically ripped open at the base of the vaginal canal, ironically Im hoping the akin will heal apart as to make the opening just that much "bigger", because like the original poster, I feel my tightness is only at the opening, otherwise I have maintained great depth and reach it about a minute into dilating. I do feel I wasn't as tight earlier on, but guess as you heal you go through stages of the muscles contracting and gaining the memory they need for us to be able to have intercourse.

I would say follow the doctors orders and get the silicone dilators and relax and lubricate and do more dilations as time permits in your schedule. I'm still doing three a day about 4 days a week, even though I only have to do two and don't feel come six months I will go down to once a day, maybe around 8 months I will.
