Hi girls, this might be TMI, but I just want to share some of what's happening with my transformation, happening as we speak.  As you might know I'm in Bangkok, having surgery Monday with DR. Chettawut.  Met with Chet today, very sweet and understanding and willing to try to tailor details to the wishes of the patient.  I'm staying at the Vertical Suites, huge shopping malls and markets across the street.  Spent some of the flight (24 hr) recovery day walking the malls and streets, great fun, so much to see, pleasant people.  Had to be careful with food, no street food and only bottle water so as not to get sick just before surgery.  I'll be hotel bound for about the first two weeks so I had to stock up on food and water, so it was good to have that all within easy walking distance of the hotel.  I'm fairly old, so I had to go to the hospital and have a tread mill heart stress test today.  Chets driver accompanies at all times and all is pre arranged. I pass easily and am cleared for surgery Monday afternoon and again Tuesday.  I'll be having my male stuff re purposed into fully functional female stuff.  Then I'll be having a good facial tune up and some specific areas I always thought could be better fixed.  I'm not having some of the heavy bone work done because of my age, it wouldn't be in character at this point to do so as far as I'm concerned.  Thankfully older women are judged on different standards than younger women.  If I can just look pleasant and usually pass, which I have been close to doing as it is, I'll be very happy and keep things a little easier to heal and recover from.  After the meeting and tests today I was dropped off back at the hotel.  I went and picked up a few more things from the supermarket, some chicken broth, Jello, sports drink, heavy pads for the bed and a couple of more packs of panty liners.  I am on a liquid diet until surgery and have just taken the first of the few things required to clean the pipes.  Should be an interesting evening, hope I can get some sleep, that's the only thing I haven't had enough of so far.  Toni

Thanks, Denise, I appreciate the kind thoughts.  Kind of feels like I'm just along for the ride, but it'll be good when I get to the destination.  You're an inspiration, just keep looking better and better.  Toni

Likewise, I wish you a very smooth and uncomplicated surgery.

I travel quite a bit often spanning 11 time zones. Sometimes the adjustment is easy, other times it's maddening. My post that you responded to was written in the middle of the night, wide awake from the jet lag after arriving here  Wednesday evening.
