I got my name change certificate in the mail today!! I'm so excited! Now I can finally be me for real and it's LEGALLY NOT A PREFERRED NAME IT IS MY NAME AHHHHHHHHH

This is the best thing. Now I just need HRT and I can properly be living my life!

Oct 2017- Came out to my extended family
Feb 2018- Endocrinologist appointment; let's hope this also means T!

Congrats!!!!!! I got mine done on 11/28 so I have been slowly changing my name in various places and in some cases frustrated. "We have changed it ma'am" only to check it later like a week later, to find it not changed. "Oh we need the information, like why didn't the first person tell me that. It is generally relieving overall though!!!!!

How long did it take from when you first submitted the paperwork ?

It was about 2ish months for me but I'm in Ontario
