I love you so much! You saved my life more than once, by relieving my depression and correcting my heart rhythm. You reversed much of the psychological damage done by my ex-hormone, restoring my love of pillows and lace. You saved my hair and gave me breasts. You taught me how to giggle and cry, and introduced me to the joys of female clothing. You turned me into the woman I always wanted to be, minus the looks, but that is not your fault - it is mine for not believing in you and all of your wonderful abilities. You are the greatest positive influence in my life. No person could ever compare to you. I have loved you for over 3 years, and I can assure you that I will love you for the rest of my life.

I'm so happy for you, Stephanie. This is a wonderful love letter! And I agree with others that you're already becoming the woman you love inside. This is especially meaningful for me since I'm waiting to get a call for my first appointment with the endocrinologist. Now I have more to look forward to - so thank you

Thank you for the compliments, although I still have dysphoria about the tall vertical shape of my head (caused by prior testosterone poisoning). Estradiol is pretty amazing, though. For me, it's like the beautiful day that came after the horrible living nightmare of testosterone. If I had known that estradiol could do so much, even after puberty, I might have had more incentive to overcome my fears and seek its feminine touch sooner. Part of the reason I shared my love letter is that I delayed my transition for over 5 years because I did not believe in female hormones. I wish to inspire others so they don't make the same mistake i did. The physical and mental feminization from estradiol is very real whether you believe in it or not; this is no placebo!

A few months ago I started E - after only 3 days on E and I knew I never wanted to be without her!  My life has been incredible since I got to know her.

Ohhh, I can't wait, I can't wait, I can't wait...but my therapist says I'm not ready yet and besides I have weight yet to lose, but god I want it sooo badly.

Hormones are more powerful than I expected as well; some people choose to go without them thinking they're unnecessary or fearing them... maybe for some they aren't needed but they are definitely missing out on a lot they can do.

That is so well said! I used to be one of those people who feared and underestimated hormones. I was miserable, living every day feeling like my body was constantly under attack. Then, I tried Estradiol and quickly fell in love with the hormone. I felt like a totally different person; my depressed and aggressive male persona quickly died.

I have never seen a self-identifying transwoman who is happy without female hormones. Every time I hear someone say "i can't take E because of [insert excuse here]", it breaks my heart. I had 10 BIG excuses, but none of them could make me feel good about pretending to be a guy.

Honestly, i also feel bad for postmenopausal ciswomen like my mother; they are perhaps even more likely to make excuses for not taking Estradiol. It has pained me to watch my mother deteriorate mentally and physically due to estrogen deficiency.

Life is too short to live it without Estradiol's amazing feminizing influence. Even though I cry a lot over missing out on my chance to be young and pretty, I still need Estradiol to look and feel my best because I am female.
