Sadly, yes. Hopefully not for much longer, though. I've been going to weekly hour-long electrolysis sessions for just over a year now, and years ago I had several sessions of laser. I have to refrain from shaving for several days prior to an appointment in order to allow enough growth to work on, and I'm always rubbing my face almost raw by the last day because it's so uncomfortable and bizarre having it there.

I only shave about once a week.
I've been on HRT for about five years and three months (started Nov 2012). Anti-androgens as well as E, always spiro and for a few years I experimented with 5-alpha reductase inhibitors as well (which was a
tremendous mistake and I'm afraid that I may have done permanent damage to my neuroendocrine system with those). I'm beginning to think spiro may have never even been necessary for me, though, except perhaps in the beginning, that it's probably done more harm than good, and that I should likely discontinue it. The last blood test I had showed undetectable testosterone.
Most, recently, let me see here...looks like my latest blood test showed E at 211.8 pg/ml (one day after a weekly injection), and testosterone at <3 ng/dl.
My progress with electrolysis for facial hair removal has been fairly steady but very slow. It's because my electrologist is one of those who approaches it more as a beauty than a medical treatment, and will only do an hour a week. It's a little frustrating to have been going for a year and still not be done, especially since I had that laser years ago to boot.
