I only grow peach fuzz but I shave it off because I like that better.
I shave once a week.

How often do you need to shave your face?
How long on HRT have you been?
Only Estradiol or also anti-androgens?
Do you know your T and E blood results?
Happy with your progress or is it going slow?

I scrape off a few hairs daily out of habit more than anything.
Look down for time on drugs. Estradiol and spiro
Yes both quite in normal female levels
Yes, but it has been slow and painful. HRT really doesn't do anything for hair growth.

Just over a year.  About the same for facial electrolysis.

Of course, I'd be happy with more, faster, but I can't complain.

I've been on estradiol and spironalactone for just over 8 years. My doctor hasn't seen any need to check my hormone levels since the first year or so. We have DID and I'm the girl alter. Primary and I decided to keep a VanDyke but the electrologist remove everything else. He wears the VanDyke, so I shave it off whenever I have the body. It was a REALLY good way to go. This way I have all those fine hairs your supposed to have over most of my face and don't look like a guy with makeup or a hairless cat!

No, nothing like that. I'm just crazy. I have been in therapy for 9 years now for my Dissociative Identity Disorder (Multiple Personality Disorder) because I was childhood sexually and psychologically abused when I was small. I'm a girl and Primary is a guy. Neither of us is transgender.

But if neither of you is transgender, why are you on HRT then?
Do you consider yourself ex-transgender because you are post-transition?

Primary was never able to bring himself to have sex but we went on hormones because chemical castration makes all of us Littles feel safe knowing once and for all we can NEVER get someone pregnant or do the horrible things that were done to us to anyone else. It took the doctors FIVE years to figure that out!

The doctors thought Primary was transsexual until he started having flashbacks and time loss, but neither me or Primary are transgender. We just think we're 6 people. And we're not post anything because neither of us transitioned. He's married and lives his life as a guy. Inner Self Helper gives me 2 days a week to live my life. I am only 13 and think guys are yucky. Being with another girl would be even grosser! We live completely separate lives  like Tootsie, Mrs. Doubtfire and Victor Victoria. It's really cool. Nobody in either of our worlds (excepting Primary's wife and our doctors) knows about us both! Little Guy, Inner Self Helper, Little Flytrap and Protector don't need time to live like me and Primary.

You're a girl and on spironalactone?  What for?  You speak of growing a beard too...was your physical self Assigned Female At Birth - "AFAB" is a commonly used acronym, along with AMAB.

For the OP a better approach might be a poll asking how much facial hair remains, as most of us are in the boat of having the stuff slowly and painfully done away with.

Yes everyday sadly, sometimes twice or more [emoji17] maybe I'm obsessive but it seems  new hairs come out by the hour. I just can't keep up. I'm wondering if it's the progesterone causing these finer facial hairs to grow... it's very discouraging

Flytrap was a bit of a surprise for the moderator staff and it's a little complex to explain. Possibly one of the things that might help is a thread started by Flytrap explaining the situation.

Well I shave every day and hate it every ##%**&^ day. Otherwise my kids as innocent as they are tell me "your turning back into a boy." Just under a year on the hormones and though has slowed the beard hair and had some laser but, need to get back on that horse. Yes, as women we still need "t" but, not as much as the average male which is why we take hormone blockers and some of us are higher than others. I am on e and blockers as well. I don't know my blood levels yet in a couple months I will find out where I am. I was doing self medication (don't recommend it), so didn't have any doctor checking my levels, I was doing it on how my body felt and lots of research. I am happy so far with everything but, now I hunger for more complete package. So making plans for other things too.

Sadly, yes.  Hopefully not for much longer, though.  I've been going to weekly hour-long electrolysis sessions for just over a year now, and years ago I had several sessions of laser.  I have to refrain from shaving for several days prior to an appointment in order to allow enough growth to work on, and I'm always rubbing my face almost raw by the last day because it's so uncomfortable and bizarre having it there.   :-\  I only shave about once a week.

I've been on HRT for about five years and three months (started Nov 2012).  Anti-androgens as well as E, always spiro and for a few years I experimented with 5-alpha reductase inhibitors as well (which was a tremendous mistake and I'm afraid that I may have done permanent damage to my neuroendocrine system with those).  I'm beginning to think spiro may have never even been necessary for me, though, except perhaps in the beginning, that it's probably done more harm than good, and that I should likely discontinue it.  The last blood test I had showed undetectable testosterone.

Most, recently, let me see here...looks like my latest blood test showed E at 211.8 pg/ml (one day after a weekly injection), and testosterone at <3 ng/dl.

My progress with electrolysis for facial hair removal has been fairly steady but very slow.  It's because my electrologist is one of those who approaches it more as a beauty than a medical treatment, and will only do an hour a week.  It's a little frustrating to have been going for a year and still not be done, especially since I had that laser years ago to boot.
"...what I seem to be is the monkey wrench in the machinery of everyone's sexual politics...it gets awfully frustrating at times.  What I really am is a paradox in that "transsexual" just doesn't fit into my identity, who I am to myself.  In other words, what I've been through is terribly interesting, but I have no interest in using it to say who I am."

"The transsexual experience, while a major survival issue, is not the central identity-defining factor in our lives, even though it is seen as what makes us different from other people. Despite its magnitude and intensity, it is, in the long run, merely a preliminary step to getting on with our lives."

I got very lucky in that department. I never developed facial hair and have never needed to shave my face.
