What exactly do you want? Grs or to be accepted as female..or to be comfortable?

These are things you've got to ask yourself.. They are all completely different realms.... Dig deeper and you will find the answer..... You just have to choose..... And don't look back... Move forward always.... Good luck!! You will make the decision that's best for you 100%... Trust you're Gut ... [emoji259][emoji171][emoji259]

Take my comments with a grain of salt (things IMO were very different back in the late 90s & early 00s, when I transitioned, and had my SRS).  What are your goals?  SRS, mainly transitioning to full-time, etc.?  They will cost money to achieve.

Taking the new job might majorly alleviate your stress, but will it still allow you to reach your goal of SRS - especially if you have to take a major cut in pay?  I know what it's like to take a mega hit in pay.  In 2002 I took a major hit in pay (close to a 30% cut in wages), at a time when I needed the money the most.  It also didn't help that there was a recession going on at the time, and I was dealing with bathroom hassles, I needed to keep money coming in to keep a roof over my head, and keep open the hope of having SRS (even though I was barely getting by - transition and SRS [at the time, the company I worked for was like most companies then, in that the health insurance they provided did NOT cover SRS] are expensive propositions), so I kept my old job.  Please consider the financial aspects the job issue - nobody says you have to stay at your current job long term.

If you've take the above into account, and still find that the new/other job is the way to go, go for it IMO.  Otherwise, if you think you can handle the stress for a bit longer, try to hang on in your current job, until after SRS (which is what I did - when I got upset about things, I said to myself in a sort of mantra "I WILL leave this place [job], but it will be under my own terms!" [I was not about quit, and wind up unemployed like a friend of mine did]).

To paraphrase what I said in the beginning - YMMV.

This is my issue too. I'm taking a break from my job for now and it's been helpful. I may go back, take a fresh outlook on things and try to stay a bit longer. Like you my job offers things I may not got somewhere else. I should have another job lined up before I quit though.

Panic attacks suck. But there are meds, there's meditation, there's therapy. We can learn to deal with them.

Panic attacks follow us, too. Leaving one set of triggers behind doesn't mean we won't find a new set of triggers where we land. And your job's benefits sound astounding. What a drag to leave those behind.

BUT:

By this point in my career, I've had good jobs and I've had bad jobs. Nothing will compel me to work at a bad job again.

And I don't have many regrets, but those that I do are over not having taken the roads I've been too afraid to travel.

So...

Good Luck.
