From my experience, men don't care all that much whether you wear hose or not. They are more concerned about making it to the finish line.
I think that we care more about hose because it so well delineates the differences between men and women. The same goes for longer hair, lack of facial hair, skirts, makeup, and heels. We want to be like women so we are so attracted to those things deemed female, sometimes going overboard, so that we can "be" women.
Sometimes, our fetishes absorb these articles. They become sexually stimulating. I'm not saying that it is right or wrong, good or bad. I'm just saying that for us, they become more important than they do to other members of our society.
