Does anyone notice any definite effects? The trouble with a few of the before and after pictures I've seen from people is that the before picture tends to be a Bob one and the after tends to be en femme with makeup so it's difficult to judge.

Yes, I have noticed major effects on my face.  They are all fairly subtle: you can't necessarily tell what the difference is.  But the combined effect is amazing.  My face no longer looks male.  I don't look totally female either, but on the femme side of androgynous.  The biggest changes have been my lips, which are so different that I initially didn't recognize them, and around my eyes.

When I look in the mirror, I see a woman looking back.

In my avatar pic, which I have also posted, in a larger version in the Fabulous and Before and After threads, I am wearing very little makeup.  Just a bit of foundation to cover irritation from electrolysis, and some lipstick.

I'm not living full time as a woman, and every now and then I get gendered as a woman. This probably happens  because of laser hair removal and 10 years of HRT. My face is much more smooth, not as angular. I can't point out exactly what has changed, but there is quite a difference when looking at my before and after HRT pictures.

The loss of facial hair is huge, as well there are very real changes to the shape of the face, and the texture of the skin.

Thats after six months on hrt. I'm only wearing a little foundation to cover the remaining facial hair and eye makeup

@ krobinson:
Thanks for posting your picture and for your good report regarding HRT facial changes.  Since I have been following your updates I can see wonderful progress and significant changes not just in your face but also in your entire appearance.  Keep up the good work!!!

For me I never did have much body hair and my face never did look very masculine but it was not until near the end of my 2nd year of HRT that just about all of my body hair became very fine and in some places... gone.
Now, after 3+ years of HRT my face hair is very easy to keep under control and my face really softened up and I am told that my face became quite feminine.
I have decided to not have face surgery and my skin reacts badly to any hair removal methods other than very occasional shaving.  Since came out Full-Time a year and a half ago, I have always passed without exception...  I considering this to be very fortunate.

As always, Krobinson, keep your updates coming, I enjoy following your journey.

Hugs,
Danielle

The effects are slow, subtle but definite. Skin softens and smooths out.

So, as I aged, it appeared the my upper lip kinda disappeared so to speak.  And I really didn't pay attention to until recently or just right after beginning HRT.  My whiskers seem to blend in with the upper lip then but now either my upper lip is getting larger, more defined or the hair is disappearing.

Anyone else experience something like this?

Thanks! I still see boy though, that menacing forehead. FFS in September with FT. But I think the effects of HRT and some weight gain has been remarkable in the face.

Also, I'm not really sure if this is due to the HRT, progress with hair removal, skin care regimen or all of the above, but my complexion has changed significantly. The rumors at work started because of the changes in my face and complexion, accelerating my coming out at work by a few months.

Personally, I don't see any "Guy".  Maybe someone who should have bangs, but that coming from someone bald like me is kind of an oxymoron :)

Also, it seems that the HRT has been softening that up too.

I'm one of the weird ones here. After two years on HRT I only have boobs (with very minor changes elsewhere). No changes to my face at all. Depressing, really. I hope my third year will bring nice changes somewhere other than my chest. Hoping...hoping...
