Regarding my situation....I know the hospital, from where I was kicked out due to being trans woman, is applying for magnet hospital status from The American Nurses Credentialing Center. Been reading about that program and status, seems the ANCC is quite trans friendly, because they have guidance and instructions on their web page, how to treat transgender people etc.

The ANCC is based in Maryland, which I´ve understood is one of the most pro-LQBT+ states in USA?

Just been thinking, that how would the ANCC react to such a transphobic hospital...which is applying for status given by them...

@Mendi very true make sure you discuss that with the union reps that are representing you.

I was a haematopathologist and head of department before coming down with cancer and now I'm due to retire in July. I transitioned on the job.

I faced some discrimination but it was male/female stuff not really TG related. I was senior enough to deal with any of that; brutally at times. I was also an academic and found that the university system was very accepting.

Does helping a close friend get thru a liver transplant count? Spent endless hours in the ER waiting . . . scheduled transfusions were losta fun too! He was one of those early "opiates abusers" end result was still not good!

Daughter was involved in a serious auto accident with someone else driving . . . After her and one other were airlifted to Atlanta medical COULD NOT BELIEVE THE BILL when compared to actual 3 days of services performed!

Trump recently eased restrictions on the use of "trail", "experimental" drugs and treatments think ANYTHING that keeps people OUTTA HOSPITALS is great!

"But it's no use now," thought poor Alice, "to pretend be two people!
"Why, there's hardly enough of me left to make one respectable person!"
