Hello. I'm new here. I've ran across this forum a few times before, and saw the post about being scared to post. So here I am, posting.

I'm not sure what I'm aiming at by joining but I guess we will see how it goes.

My name is Matt, from the western half of the USA, I'm 27, I'm a parent of two... and I'm transgender. I've known I'm a male for around 15 years. I haven't done anything towards transition as much as I'd like to. Fear, anxiety, the depression are all blockers.

Maybe I'm looking for direction, or maybe just a friend or two who understands and won't discredit the intense range of emotions that come along with the journey. I don't know.

But that's me in a small nutshell.

Thank you for introducing yourself.  Please know that I am not trying to hijack your thread but first things first.
I see that you are new here and may have questions and concerns, this is the right place for you to be to find out what others have done that may have been in your circumstances. 
Be aware that there are lots of members here that can identify with the issues that you brought up in your introduction posting.

It is nice that you have signed up so you can share with others and involve yourself with some give and take with other members.

Hi Matt, welcome to Susan's Place, I'm Jessica! 
I understand how fear can be a barrier for many reasons. 
You are concerned about your family, your life in it. 
There may be circumstances where social aspects scare you.
Finances can play a strong role in escalating fear.

One thing at Susan's that you will find is a hand to help with questions, emotions and fear.
We all have these points we deal with, and with the many different experiences here, one or many will hit home for you.

Might I suggest a gender therapist that can help you with the challenges in finding your path.

I see the maiden of the north @Alaskan Danielle has greeted you.  She gave you some links to the site rules and helpful hints.  Please be kind to her and give them a look see.  She does care so much about new members and them feeling welcome here.

Hi Matt,

I'm Laurie the wandering waif of Susan's Place. Welcome to the site. It looks like Danielle opened the door and didn't lock it after and then Jessica came after her and left it wide open. Then VM showed up and... well you can see where she is in her avatar. Come on, come on get in her before I close the door, my arm is getting tired holding it for you. I am glad you are here and want you to know we have several FtMs here, They should be able to help you with your more specific questions. @MeTony  and PurpleWolf  come to mind off the top of my head. Hopefully I have attracted there attention and they will be along soon to introduce themselves. Again Welcome Matt.

Hello Matt!

I'm a Swedish FTM. Late transitioner. I'm 41....tomorrow! I have my appointment with the doctor in September. Just starting my journey to become me.

Well not just started, I started 10 years ago by accepting myself as I am. But for different reasons I am here now, 10 years later.

If you have any questions or just need to rant, we are here.
