Hey girls.... so no worries. I don't know if any of you read my posting from several days ago, but i had just found this website and was flying out to Thailand, and wanted to see if anyone knew of the doctor i was booked with. Dr. Saran Wannacharmas. Upon arriving here all my worries were set to ease. I'm sitting outside of the Preecha Aesthetic institute right now writing you guys.

I travel the world alot, Dubai, South America, India, Africa you name it. This is one of the best medical facilities I've seen outside of America. I was down to Dr. Saran and Suporn for the final procedure and decided to go with Dr. Saran. The reason why is because to my understanding although Dr. Suporns vagina's seem more aesthetically pleasing, they consist of more grafted skin, leading to shortening of the vagina over a two to three year period. I have a boyfriend at home, and all I can say is I cant afford any shortening.

Dr. Preecha, the originator of GRS in Thailand also highly recommends Dr. Saran. I was scared crapless before coming because there is no guarantee of who and what you're gonna get, and i'm the kind of person who saw 5 doctors just for my breasts. However, upon arrival I'm convinced i'm making the right decision.

I'm very scared and excited I'll be going under in about 5 hours. I'll let you know how it went when can leave my bed. The computers are on the 1st and 2nd floors of the hospital (Piyavate).

Gey Roza. Congratualtions on the big day! Thumbs held and fingers crossed, but I'm sure everything will go just fine! I'm so envious of you right now ...

Congratulations on the big day.
I hope it goes really really well for you.
I laughed at your researching, I did the same, went for four consults for my chest (I am ftm), and was very pleased with the path I chose, ultimately.

I hope for you a very good experience there, and as you recover.  How wonderful.  Is anyone there with you?  Or are you braving it all alone?
How long til you are set free to return home?

How is the weather there?  We are in the middle of a snowstorm in the midwest of the US right now.

Sincerely,
Joseph

Congrats!!! That is where I had my surgery 4 years ago. It was a wonderful hospital. All the people who worked there were wonderful and very helpful. Also the food was fabulous. We stayed at the hotel just down the street but we could have stayed on the fourth floor as it had residences for all who wanted cheaper rooms. BTW, there was a starbucks not to far from there and a nice little restaurant that had BBQ ribs. Take care and wish I was there too. I really loved Bangkok.

It's normal to feel the way you do, Roza  :), but after everything is done and complete, you will be thrilled, and as time passes, your fears will only be memories of the past.  Your transition is now OVER. Take care of yourself, and I look forward to all the details of your SRS.

Happy Birthday and welcome to the rest of your life, hon!  :)

*hugs*

Oh my god,

What a wonderful experience. I woke up very very cold, and in some pain. For the first night the staff gave me pain medication through the IV, but there after pills by my mouth. So for the five days I believe, I had this wierd sumo wrestling type packing in between my legs consisting of tape, gauze, a cathetar coming out, and a couple of tubes for drainage.

To be quite honest the pain was pretty unbearable for me. I wasn't expecting it to be as bad, because with my breast aug, i was on demoral and didn't remember the first week. But here in Thailand, they are very stringent about what they give out medication wise. My only complaint was that, i was in pain alot, and couldn't seem to get a good pain killer here. However on the other side, sometimes pain killers are easily given out in america, sometimes when not even needed. My advice to any girls considering coming here would be to see a doctor and get about a weeks supply of a strong pain killer if possible, and discuss it with your GRS doctor before coming, as i didn't.

Otherwise, i'm really excited right now. My surgery was on the 22, and today my stiches were removed and I was dilated by the doctor for the first time. I had six inches depth on my first dilation, which seems unbelievable to me, as i hear some girls don't get that after dilation for months. Dr. Saran was unbelievable, very nice and well spoken and versed in english. I highly recommend him. He was about 6,000 dollars and cheaper does not necessarily mean worse. He has over ten years experience and worked with Dr. Preecha extensively. When I asked why his price is lower than alot of other surgeons here he responded that it's not always about the money and that he enjoys giving people happiness. He is also now removed from  His website is DoctorSaran.com if any of you are interested. By the way his assistant was unbelievable so nice and extremely helpful the whole time we've been here. Speak of the devil she just walked in and gave me some more creams for scarring.

Now the good stuff. I'm pretty swollen, but I can see how good the work could be if I heal correctly. There is a clear hood,  clit, and urethra, inner and outer lips, and vagina at the bottom. I want the swelling to go down right away. That's probably not gonna happen for a few months. I have to go to bed but i'll try to keep in touch a little more. Thanks for everyone's well wishes. To answer your questions the weather here is unbelievable, 90's or so, and i am not alone, I brought one of my best friends. I can't tell you enough how helpful it has been to have someone here. I would highly recommend bringing a friend or lover. It's worth it.

Feel free to ask away questions..... I'll try to respond as i can ;)

Lots o love

Roza

I'm delighted for you Roza.  You sound very happy.  And yes, the pain; as I stated on a previous thread, I was rather upset with some post-op girls here for not having warned me about the darn pain.  It hurts, it does hurt a lot, but as a everything else, that, too, shall pass.  :)

thanks a lot for sharing your wonderful story with us Roza.............
I have been thinking about to go with Dr Saran next year.....but it seems to me that he doesn't do labiaplasty or it's done after SRS (means two-step surgery) coz i couldn't find such info from his site. @.@

You know it's wierd that I've almost forgot the pain until I read this thread. It does remind me how painful it was... but girls don't worry too much about that, and all of that will pass. Finally after 1 year, you'd almost no more remember how much pain you had...

Remember to check with Thai laws about importing narcotic painkillers (e.g. Demarol) into Thailand .... whether its allowed at all, whether you need a doctor's letter ....

Otherwise you might end up in a place far less welcoming than a Thai hospital for a long long time ...  ::) ... !

So pleased it went so well for you Roza  :)

I hope your doing ok Roza, I actually mention my pain in another thread, its 1 thing I'II always remember when I woke up after my surgery was the excruciating pain, I don't think I would have gone thru it without the support of my family and yet some girls here don't have support and are very brave.
I remember my Mom at the time was so thrilled I finally had the surgery, she got a daughter she always wanted, we disagree at the time on the period it took for my transition, she wanted it to happen quickly, I wanted to take it slower, but thats another story.....
