Those shoes sound cool... and I do love PJs...
Though my housemates do not like me wandering around in a long tshirt and (under)pants - which is what I really like.

That's the nice thing about living with girls...nobody cares if you run around in underpants...not that I make a habit of it or anything...eh-hem.  Right.  :icon_paper:

I always wanted to wander around in long red underwear like a cowboy with that flap in the back...weird.

I get the feeling lots of androgynes are most comfortable in leisure wear - Pj's, sweats, comfortable shoes (or functional shoes like Pica Pica's), jeans, natural fibres, side burns, smoking jackets and turkish slippers (for keeping our stash of opium).

This could be a new tag line: Androgynes - the people of leisure.

I don't even own a tie, button up shirt, or dress shoes (except for my old military stuff sitting in a box in the basement). Needless to say no suit either.

No sideburns here, I cut them off.

*shudder*

Never... Even if disco made a triumphant(ACK!) return, or even for Halloween, NO WAY would I wear one.

Sweet! I go away for awhile and the thread goes from an awkward introduction to a clothes discussion  :D

Personally I prefer an old pair of well worn jeans and an old sweatshirt or t-shirt for most things. Comfort is king! To heck with style!

also, make the shirt sleeves longer than my arms.

Nothing worse than a long sleeve shirt that is too short.

In fact, it's damn humiliating.

I was around - ok I survived - the Era of the Leisure Suit, and I think Androgynes are partly to blame, as they often are first to adopt new fashion ideas.

I don't believe androgynes had anything whatsoever to do with leisure suits. We have much better taste.   ::) Nehru jackets, bell bottoms, tie die... perhaps we can take the blame for those  :P

Oh my god, at least leisure suits didn't last, Tie-Dye is the bad backyard "art" project that spawned an industry devoted to making people walk around looking like a rainbow threw-up on them.  The "Dude, could you please turn down your shirt" crowd.  Or, dressed head to toe in happy tie-dye like some 35 year old in a baby outfit.  Oh, god I hate tie-dye.  "Oh, really, are those tie-dyed sox?  Nice."  Thankfully, the Nehru jacket didn't last long either, but tie-dye refuses to go away.

I love tie-dye, though it can be overdone easily. I'm hoping to give my wife a tie-dyed stole as an ordination present. I've already got a couple of folks who're willing to help me with it, too.

I take no credit for adopting any new fashion, I refuse.
Besides if people are taking fashion ideas from me, we are in a world of hurt.

I blame music for most fashion disasters.

I grew up during the 60s, and never ever wore tie dye back then until just a couple of years ago when someone gave me a t-shirt. I've only worn it a few times. I did have an electric blue Nehru jacket when I was a kid though, but it's long gone.

I like Nehru jackets. I've never owned one.
