Sonja, I didn't know you did stuff like that! Come to think of it, I didn't even know you played games. May I ask what kind of game it is? Genre, etc?
@DustKitten
Hi Robin, Its a fighting side scroller, I wanted to make it really brutal but I'm in two minds about it because a friend I have who works at Microsoft said he would setup a meeting for me with the xbox people once I had a demo but said it would be unlikely at a beginners stage to get support if it was too brutal...Hmmm. Anyhow that game demo is on hold while I create a more basic game - still a fighting side scroller but simple graphics and gameplay mechanics - I need to get my head around the full game output experience because my original game idea is rather complex and involved.
I've been playing games since I was 8 zx spectrum , moved onto an acorn electron and began programming in basic, moved to commodore 64 and gave up coding for a few years, moved onto pc +Nintendo 64. Played millions of games, some of my favourites are bombjack, outrun, maniac mansion, ikari warriors, platoon, doom, quake, delta force (all), AvP, warcraft 2, warcraft 3, World of Warcraft, command and conquer, return to castle wolfenstein, Golden eye -n64, spore, lotr Battle for middle earth, guildwars 2, battlefield 1942, SW shadows of the empire -n64, 1080 snowboarding -n64, mario cart, killer instinct, mortal combat, age of conan ........I think I better stop....LOL
I have quite a few different game ideas, these side scrollers are ones to get me started. For my job I'm a contractor, I create 3d models for architecture animations and images and also 3d models for jewelry 3d printing.
Sonja.
