Update:

Hey girls!

I finally got myself a pair of heels and the fit perfectly!

I decided that since it is almost my birthday, I should do myself a favor and get myself a birthday present, which included a dress, heels, and some bras. They got here today and I tried everything on, all of it fit perfectly, and I just am in love with all of this stuff already.

The heels are about 3-4 inches, and really comfortable for the most part at size 11. I think my feet might still be a little wide for it (But I am kind of overweight, so I think when I slim down my muffin top it would also thin out my feet a little bit!). I think I might be a natural at walking in heels because I was wearing them around my home for like an hour and only stumbled once. (I know it's probably just because my home is really small, like 700 sq feet but don't kill my buzz!)

Anyway, I just wanted to share with everybody that I've finally caught up and got some cute heels!

Janna,

Welcome to the high-heel club!  Be forewarned though, buying ladies shoes can be addictive (ask me how I know).  I think the thing that amazes me most about heels is that it is usually impossible to tell how comfortable they will be just by looking at them.  I have shoes with lower heels that are downright painful almost immediately, yet I have a pair with four inch heels that I can wear comfortably for hours.  These days though, I'm mostly into boots, both tall shaft boots and ankle boots, usually with a higher block heel.

Hugs,

Sally

Well you told me to ask how you know that buying shoes can be addictive. So how can it be addictive? I only want to buy like 8 trillion new pairs now. It can't be THAT addictive.

@Arianna Valentine

Thank you so much sweetie!

You girls are all awesome and I am so glad I found my way onto this site!

Kisses!

Because Janna, I really don't need any more shoes, yet I continue to buy.  That has to be addiction.  Of course there is the phrase: "a girl can't have too many pairs of shoes."

Hugs,

Sally

Because my feet have shrunk a bit I can now wear the Payless shoes I bought a year ago. Just wore them for the first time last Wednesday. I think I need a little training. and they are only two inch wedges. I cannot even think of dancing in 5" heels. I got a pair a couple years ago and when I put them on the heel broke in half and you can guess where I ended up.

It just feels right   :icon_hug: :icon_hug: :icon_kiss: :icon_kiss: :icon_kiss:

It is true that sounds like an addiction but you must have a pair of shoes for every outfit and yes a woman cannot have enough pairs of shoes

In my previous guy life I had like two pairs of runners (exact same style, so I could rotate them) and a pair of leather shoes for work/special occasions. Other than flip flops for around the house and summer that was it.

But now I have 5 completely different styles of footware. No high heals yet, cause I am self-conscious of my height (feel tall enough already).

I don't think I am addicted, but love having a choice. You may well laugh at only five pairs, but for me that is a huge difference.

Luckily, I have narrow feet and can fit comfortably into 10 or 11's depending on the shoe.

Enjoy your heels Janna.

I thought I would break my ankles when I wear anything higher than your average male heal!
I found out that my feet get really tired in those loafer style shoes that have hardly any heal at all.  The shoes I feel most comfortable in have the block or wedge type heals between 2 and 3 1/2 inches.  I can march in those things across town and back, and can wear them all day long!

I have noticed that any with either a wedge or a really big heel are so much easier to walk in

I don't even consider stiletto style heals.  Most cis women can't walk in them properly, and they have many years of training to do do.  I like the bigger, medium high heals and will stick with them!
Anyway, how would it look like if a 6' tall Nordic person walks in these things, probably like one of the Walkures from the Wagner operas!
