I ask this question because I was born with a small trachea. I wonder if chondrolaryngoplasties can be safe and effective on patients like me with modest, visible trachea as compared to patients with preexisting larger visible tracheae. Or has the law of diminishing returns set in that surgeons can't remove more of the tracheal cartilage from the latter group without running a higher risk of complications compared to the latter?
