Hi all
As the subject line says I have decided to go see my GP. And talk to her about my gender dysphoria.
She has a great PA that I really love.
Real nervous here right now.

Good luck Anjanette!  Don't worry, it will be fine.

Hugs and smiles, Jessica

Don't be nervous! The doctor is likely the easiest person to come out to. I shook for a solid half hot leading up to telling my therapist some of my feelings. In the end, she has been nothing but supportive and is leading me down the path to my genuine self. Good luck!!!

Thank you Jess and sky.

I got up the nerve to call up the doctor today as a suggestion by my wife
Thinking it'll be a couple of weeks or so but then she says you're in luck today we have our last appointment cancel I can squeeze you right in. Ship guess I don't have to worry about it for too long another three hours and I'll be sitting in her office. Thanks everybody for the encouragement.
I will go home shower clean up and put a little bit of makeup on and be on my way

You'll be just fine! Honestly, telling anyone even your doctor face to face is a huge weight off your chest.

Hi AJ,

I hope the appointment gives you some peace of mind.  I will be seeing a gender therapist for my insurance in a couple of weeks, and I know I will feel very nervous when that comes around!

For me, it is helpful to remind myself that I don't need to have all the answers or be 100% sure of anything.  It is enough to explore and try and be honest with myself.  It has been a very turbulent year for me, and I got so fixated on figuring it all out and trying to be 100% sure of what I wanted that I made myself quite miserable for a time.

This is such an 'interesting' journey, isn't it?  I find it is so hard to know what is actually going on inside with so many years of socialization and messaging.  Still, a sense of moving forward gently is critical for my peace of mind.

I wish you all the best and I hope your doctor is extremely supportive and kind!

Love,

Jael
