Like: Men don't get mad for every single thing.

Dislike: When they are gross, pervs, mean, cocky, uncaring. Not all men are like that but some are :=)

what i like: the personality....behaviour and approach towards life.
what i don't like: when they don't put the toilet seat down. also, why is it so hard for men to aim the inside of the bowl and not on the rim of the bowl?

I hate the aggressive, confrontational attitude that many guys have. That and the emotional stuntedness.

What I like about them is that quiet, confident, gentle strength that some guys have.

Seems to me, that having to "take care" of people and "defend" them insipires a certain "arrogance and cockiness" all on its own.  One is the fuel that feeds the other. 

And hey, if the ego part of being successful men turns you off, try dating failures, there are plenty.

I would submit that if I have to "take care" of, and "defend" then I get to control also.  It's a package deal.

You know, there is a difference between a police force and a police state. Both provide protection, but only one packages it with control.

Anyway, to the question. Gender-wise I'm androgyne, so:

I like the strong, caring confidence some men exhibit, and dislike the way the masculine strength sometimes turns into bullying arrogance.

I like the soft, caring love some women exhibit, and dislike the way the feminine softness and emphasis on feelings sometimes turns into an 'Ooh, my man' type of ditziness.

Um. Looks like I prefer a man with some feminine traits and a woman with some masculine traits. Oh well, at least I tried.

That is pretty funny. Just about any woman sobbing tears, who is visibly emotionally upset, somehow miraculously has "Nothing!" wrong with her.

i'm female.

i sooooo can't believe i didn't start this topic myself as i work with mostly men in the auto shop.

here is what i dislike: they never seem to show up on time
                             they have disgusting bathroom habits
                             when they do show up their angry at everyone especially women in authority above them.
                              they don't like to do any kind of work especially if they have to.
                              most of them think they know everything and really know nothing about what they'rr talking about...lol
                              most of them are noisy and quite violent
                              i find more of them than necessary quite rude too

what i do like: i like the ones who are still chivalrous, and know how to treat a lady
                    no offense to anyone on here, but there isn't really much i like about men...lol

I think you can take either gender and compare the same things to both. I've met plenty of gross guys and plenty of gross women. Its a matter of personal hygene. There really is no way to generalise anymore.

Women are sleeping with their students left and right and its hard to get through a week where a female teacher isnt dragged over the coals for sleeping with the kids lately. Banks are getting robbed, fights are breaking out, its sad to see it unfold.

I like men because they can have a protective nature over women. They can also be strong and kind. Surely this doesnt fit all men, but a lot of them have this in them.

Oh come on now, are saying that women can't be arrogant?  Like it wasn't Marie Antoinette that when told the peasants were starving, said "Let them eat cake"?   

Though I might well know more arrogant men than women (I think its easier to see in men) the women I know who are arrogant have it miles and miles beyond the men in really "being" there.  The sense of entitlement and privlage that some women possess is truly mind blowing.  And they wield it like a ninja sword.  Cold, distant and removed, they merely disown you from the world at that moment. 

When I go to, or work at, the opera and the symphony, some of the (rich to ultra "I know your family name" type rich) women I talk to - yowie!  From god's brain to their lips.  Or the "A List" sorority girls at a good private college type arrogant?  Its not 100%, I have met many charming rich people, and know many nice, down-to-earth sorority girls - still....

And then there is Condi Rice, whose casual assumption that she is right no matter who has to die where, is both arrogant and aggressive.

I don't think anybody here is saying women can't be arrogant and as dangerous as any guy, but I do think it's more prevalent in the male population.

Like: Protective, quite strength, straight to the point attitude, and honorable(usually)

Dislike: Most feel constantly challenged to prove their masculinity, occasional immature world view, feeling of superiority over women, and aggressiveness or anger towards things they don't like or understand.

Dislikes about Females:  That time of the month.  If only Calgon did take you away, I would need plenty of Calgon moments.  I hate being around women when they change into ....monsters (to be nice about it).
