I don't think that the after picture are dramatically different to you current looks.  The major difference , besides the lighter color is that they made your nose a little narrower at the bottom of it (less flared), and that the slanted your eyes a little more (i. E.) make you look a little more "Asian".

I don't see any dramatic difference, the app makes the contours a little softer, but also not as clear.

The way it looks to me, Chinese writing is quite a bit different to Korean writing?  Korean writing looks pretty square to me, and easier to decipher.  Am I correct?

Basically Hangul (Korean alphabet) consists of horizontal and vertical bars like Chinese characters. Regarding shapes of letters in the human history of writing, Jared Diamond once wrote an excellent and insightful essay:
