Hi Debi & Tia Anne,                           24 January 2019

It looks like this has been another lifetime adventure stacked onto all of your other adventures. I'm looking forward to seeing both of you the next time you pass through Tejas in February. I do enjoy seeing you folks and your "Traveling Companions."

Before I head for Phoenix, I'm going to bring out my childhood and adulthood stuffed animals, (yes, adulthood) so Dena and I will have some soothing traveling companions that don't complain about the lack of food or bathroom breaks. There are a couple of them that I received before I was born. I wonder if having them this long qualifies me as a "Pack Rat."

I want to thank both of you for the nice gift, I wear it all the time; I'm going to have Dena's, your name's and mine engraved on it. I thank you very much, I shall treasure it forever.

I started the paperwork for my name and gender change; I'm hoping to have that completed by mid February. For those that think it's hard to do here in Texas, here's the reality: It can be done online and no need to go before a judge or appear in court. Things are a changing here for the better.

Looking forward to seeing you two beautiful ladies next month. Have a safe and enjoyable Honeymoon.

God Bless, Best Always, Love
Christine

Hello All our Wonderful Friends. I let this tread get away from me again. Something about meeting new friends, and visiting old ones but on their turf instead of ours. Laurie, I assure you that Stephanie does not have a basement. She does however have an airplane hanger and a pretty neat shop.

You can get into if you want, Tia. I'm planning on staying on the ground.    Up! Up! And Away!

Thank you so much Sue and Stepanie for sharing your space with us. (And Laurie, No, no one went up on the fridge. But they do want you to come visit again.)

Next stop! Faith and Lori's.

It is a little early yet, but we are steady at work manipulating the weather for your possible stay here. I think it is entirely appropriate that since we ended the last trip, we should be on the tail end of this one. Fingers crossed for good visits now with no more flying lawn equipment or traffic issues. Don't forget us.

Moni, We are looking forward to a visit with you and Ann and please keep working on weather manipulation. We don't seem to be hitting the 'It's great weather, wish you were here to share it with us" postcard weather.

Yesterday, we left Faith and Lori's home and headed south earlier than we had planned. There was no rain falling from the sky but since all of us were crying with our parting, wetness was still apart of the day. Have you ever just met folks that you have known all your life. Meeting Faith and Lori was like getting back together with old friends and picking up the conversation where we had left off at a previous get together. For any of you who have not met them, let me try to find words to describe them. Wonderful, sweet, empathetic, kind, honest, loving, caring, awesome, warm and of course beautiful inside and out. You know, just a couple of great girl friends or family that you love to visit.. Our stay was too short (Yes Faith, I am sorry I had to shorten it) but it definitely left us with the desire and plan to get together with them again, and again, and again. Lori and Faith, your stuck with us. We love you Ladies.

Today is our 13th day on this trip. We are in Bonita Beach, Florida and again it's raining. Ok it's actually pouring. Where is sunny Florida/ Picture is out our hotel window and it was taken at 1 pm.

Tia and I compiled a list of weather we have been through in our travels. We have traveled alot, but this is a little much. We have been through: Rain storms that were heavy enough that you couldn't see the front edge of the car. Lighting dropping out of the sky all around us while traveling through Wyoming on I-80 on the motorcycle and we are the highest point around. Thunder storms where we are counting the seconds to see how close the lightning is. Fog where you can't see out the front window at all. Snow storms that range from a very light dusting to blizzards. The only problem with light snow falls are all the folks out there who don't know how to drive in snow. At least if it's a blizzard people tend to get off the roads. Sand storms, again we were on the motorcyle. Ice storms in Iowa where not only could you not drive on the roads but you couldn't even walk across them. Ice skates might have worked but we didn't have any. Dust storms and high wind storms. We do live just 60 miles from Wyoming. Floods, tornados, forest fires and hurricanes. So this is the list and we decided not to add in all the other strange situations we find ourselves in. Like flying lawn mowers and border patrol who carry guns.  Anyone out there want to go traveling with us?

I should quote for reference, I can't. That's a lot of text.

Debi, Tia mentioned blushing from my simple comment about your visiting us. What you typed is over and above. Every thing that you said I could easily have said about the two of you if I were any good with words. To finally meet two lovely  people and then think "welcome back" rather than just "welcome" is a bit disarming upon realizing we'd just met for the first time. The ease in which we could just sit and talk was both relaxing and enlightening. Although Lori and I had 'outings' planned, the weather had other ideas. I think it was for the better. I wonder who changed the weather for us so that we could just sit inside and chat?

I am sorry that I broke down over the photos. Even though I know you understand, I really tried to keep things at bay during your visit. I think it caught up with me.

Love you both, Hugs and kisses
Faith (oh and Lori too I suppose ... :D)
I left the door open, only a few came through. such is my life.

To bad for the planing that I met Tia only yesterday for the first time!  Instead of sitting in a hotel room in rainy Bonita beach, you could have stayed at my house (only 30 car minutes away from Bonita Beach), and looked at the rain  from here.  To be honest, most people around here are happy about the rain, because everything started to get brow!

When you visit Florida the next time, you should plan a stay in my house into your travel plans!

Day 15 Good morning. We awoke to sunshine today. Don't know what the temp is outside yet but there are people sunning by the pool. We got into Key West late yesterday afternoon and within an hour of getting here we were in the pool and the hot tub. It was kind of fun to have a couple of guys hitting on us and being totally amazed that we could talk cars and bikes and sound like we were knowledgeable. Looking forward to breakfast after last nights dinner of an arugula salad with blackened shrimp, goats cheese crumbles, pickled red onions and watermelon chunks. Yummy and yes very Key West-ish.

Good for you that you left the area.  I got almost cold here, the night temps are down to the upper 40's, and today it shall get up to 67 only!  We are not used to those freezing temps.  Starting Friday we are supposed to get our normal temps (upper 70's, low 80's) back again.  You best stay on the keys until then!

Hi Ladies,                          29 January 2019

Glad the Honeymoon is progressing very well. Sounds like you Ladies are having a ball.

I was stationed there 1963 - 1964; came back for a visit in 1989. Things had changed quite a bit in those 25 years. It is now 30 years since that last visit, I doubt there have been too many changes since then. When I was there in 89 almost all available land had been built on.

Keep enjoying your Honeymoon. I'm looking forward to your next visit here in February. Hopefully, the Crown Vic will be back on the road in some what of her former glory. She is going to need a paint job but that can wait until I get to Phoenix.

Have fun Ladies, stay safe, watch out for lawn mowers and keep the Duck Stuff handy. I think we all should carry that stuff around just in case. Looking forward to seeing you soon.

Best Always, all my Love
Chris

And that's just incredibly affirming, isn't it?  I honestly don't mind, in fact enjoy the attention as long as I am in a safe place.  I find myself glowing from the affirmation that this gives me.  (Oh, like she doesn't need more fuel on the fire!)

It is pretty neat being seen as yourself, isn't it?

And after all, this is why so many of us have gone to all this trouble, to finally live as our authentic selves.

I'm so happy the two of you have been able to take off on this Honeymoon Trip Part II.  Thank you for sharing it with our community!

This is my second post for today. The sunshine has helped get me out-of-doors and being in Key West is rather invigorating. We left the hotel we had booked yesterday which was situated just as you reach the Key and made a move down town. We are now in the middle of the action. (While I sit writing this I can hear a street concert going on in the next block). The nice thing about our travel time today was that it took a half hour for it to happen and that included finding our guesthouse, unloading and then finding a parking lot to put the car in.
We are upstairs in the corner unit and Tia and her healing foot carried most of the suitcases up.

This is a very busy place and by 1:00 most of the lots were full. We did accomplish the parking and we don't plan on moving the car until we leave two days from now. We should be able to find all the excitement we want within walking distance

and we plan to also take some layback and relax time by the pool. That started this afternoon.

Had a great late lunch of blackened mahi-mahi, mashed potatoes the way I like them with the skins mashed in and a veggie squash medley.  I complemented my half of the meal with a margarita. (After all this is known as Margaritaville.) Went for a walk this evening and got some ice cream. It was creamy rich and we would need to be rich to eat ice cream here very many times. I did enjoy it though. Signing out for tonight. My plan is to sit next to the window and listen to the music from the concert and probably fall asleep.

DAYS 14 - 16
These have been Key West happy days. We've done some walking and talking, some time stretched out with our feet up (both of us are dealing with swollen ankles or foot), and way to much eating. And are enjoying ourselves grandly. As with my last post I will let the pictures tell the story.
This was taken at the Two Friends Café and Bar where we had a good breakfast before we tried to walk off all the calories we had ingested.

Don't know what's behind the gate but thought it an interesting spot to pose.

I like pelicans!

Tia's diet plan seems to be working

Next month's destination

We can only go north from here unless we get a boat.    ???

Next stop - Melbourne, Florida and then a couple days at Cassandra's with her and that Stephanie Lady. Watch out Ladies here we come.

Absolutely wonderful pictures that you included on many of your recent posts.
It definitely looks like you two are having a wonderful time together on your road trip.

After visiting the Florida Everglades I was all the way down in Key West back in October 2017... it was a veryhappening place.  The 100+ mile drive down the Florida Keys and the Overseas Highway is a long and scenic drive and the further south you go, the gas prices get higher and higher.
I fondly remember the Key Lime Pie  and the Cuban Sandwiches.

Once back up north toward Orland I visited the Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral  !!! wonderful !!!

Thank you for sharing your journey with all of your followers.
Hugs and hugs....... drive safely!!!

DAY 17 found us checking out of Melbourne, Florida where we had a room right on the beach. It was a sweet sleep listening to the ocean sounds all night.

Looked like it was going to be a beautiful day and then we got back on the road and here came the rain again. We did run out of it before we got to Cassandra's neck of the woods.

Signing out for now. Deb and Tia too

Hi Julie,

It is good to hear from you. The doctor let up on that ridged boot requirement but has me in some pretty ugly hiking boots....so I am not breaking the original boot rules but am not living according to her instructions......and am paying the price for it.
