One thing that happened for me that seems to be a first was that I was given an epidural. Omg! That's turned out to be the best thing ever! I HAD ABSOLUTELY NO PAIN DURING MY HOSPITAL STAY! Were you able to observe your surgery?  That is what I would want to do, to make sure that there is no breach of sterile procedure (and no chance for a wound infection)

Oh god no! The surgery was about 7 hours long. I didn't want to be awake for a single bit of it!

Why not?  I try to be awake for all possible procedures, I want to see what is going on!

OK, here I am again.  The way it looks like the U of m seems to be the only hospital who accepts my funny Humana care insurance PPO.  No surgeon in Florida will take it!  Fine with me, I feel way better taken care of in the cities than any other place in the country, and I am pretty much in the know!

Yuusui, how was your surgery with Dr. Kim? How was your stay and care at Fairview?  I have never been there as a patient, and know it only from my training days.
I did write an initial email to the department to find out more details, how long did it take you to get in?
Now I have questions over questions, I did not expect to have.  I was hoping my orchi would swipe away all genital dysphoria, it actually made it even stronger!  Stupid human mind that is inside my head!

@ Yuusui, did you have an orchi prior to the surgery?  I read on your blog that you stopped hormones at some time prior to it.  If I would do that, I would have nothing left to keep my body going.  Did they tell you why to stop any hormones?
