The first time for me was about ten years ago or so when I decided to get a wig customized. I went to wig store in Hollywood that has a hair salon attached to it with private rooms. The lady was super nice. I had a good time and the wig looked better, but it wasn't as amazing as my mind made it out to be. I did the same thing about a year ago with my latest hair and again it was sadly kind of a let down. Maybe it'd be different if I had real hair?

I had a style appointment and my hair looks nice.

Swish!

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

My wig supplier also has a hair salon. The wigs are kind of a side gig, but she is able to color and style as needed for a match.

Good for you Chrissy!

Hair makes SO much of a difference!

The day I got mine everything clicked and I was instantly full time the moment I walked out of the salon.

Yes. Hairstyle is critical and probably the most important in presenting as a woman. I had many trials and errors, but nowadays I visit my favorite hair salon once or twice every year. The stylist is very kind, taking care of the whole of my family. There used to be miscommunication with her, but now I know what she can do for me.

The hair salon:

Once a hair specialist came to my home while a cinema team made an independent film of me. The movie will be completed and opened to the public this fall.

Cheers,

barbie~~
Just do it.

It is nice to chit chat with my stylist as she does her wonder with my hair.  I always leave feeling better and looking better than when I arrived.

I still have my Bob cut, it is so cute.  Makes it harder as I age to look like a male at first glance, but I really do not want to look like a male as a MTF.  I am getting a few strands of grey so I may need to regularly color to hide rather than instead of simply when I want to change color or highlight.  Then again, maybe I should simply age gracefully with all natural hair.  I did not think one would get grey hair until like you get into your 60s, but I have heard more of us ladies do get them in their 40s too. So I am not that unusual.   My hair is full and I can even swish it a little, more if I grew it out.  But I like my style.

Hugs,

Chrissy

I started going gray when I was 16... was full-on salt & pepper by the end of high school, and mostly gray by the time I graduated college.

But now, in my late 50's? I'm a blonde. 😉

So a) there's no standard timing for that stuff and b) you can be what you wanna be!

So glad you enjoyed the experience!!!

Wow!  At 16!

Do blondes have more fun?

I mean, I have say yes... but a LOT more than my hair has changed, so not sure how much credit its color really deserves. 😉

Good for you too Lori!

Cannot say I have tried blonde.  Have tried reddish highlights though.
