Quote from: ChrissyRyan on August 10, 2024, 10:02:44 AMWould most people know gold when they see it, if she uses a pan in the river? Or would it just look like most other pebbles?
Quote from: Lori Dee on August 10, 2024, 10:11:49 AMMost people won't find it unless looking for it. It is too small and hidden in dirt or water. But when you see it, it is unmistakable. When I was first learning, I had a hard time deciding if something was gold or pyrite. Gold stays shiny and yellow in the shade, but pyrite turns dark. Pyrite also floats but gold is heavy. When I found my first gold flake, I knew it instantly. Since then, I know what to look for.
