Pooped this morning, my bad ankle was giving me grief last night as I could hardly stand on it. Unload the car later so hope the showers stay away. Fish curry for dinner when I make it, cod and peas TBH.

Day turned out nice after that wet start, stacked the autojumble boxes on my make do bench in my garage at home. Okay its a pile of wheels with the sides of an old wardrobe laid on top, well it works. Forgot to say I got "hit on" on Sunday at the auto show, some old boy (might be younger than me) chatted me up. He lives close by and had a stand just over the row from me. Sorry mate but happy on my own and men don't do anything for me! It would take a VERY special person for me to get involved with.
 Fish curry is nice, will make that one again. Quick and simple, only faff is grating 4 tomatoes. Well it ram the car day again tomorrow, bags and old boxes from my workshop and stuff from mums plus a load from my garage at home. Also have that old sofa to cut up so hope my new battery power saw works. I won that castor /camber gauge on the bay so will be able to set up front suspension now.

Car is rammed with stuff for the local recycle skips tomorrow, called on Deb and picked the last of the beans. Green toms as well from mum so some more chutney to make. Will have another car full of junk to take tomorrow, hope my knees and ankle survive climbing the steps for the skips.

Well 2 skip runs and that sofa cut up, # officially pooped .com. Done in now but its all sorted, next job is to deep clean my workshop before winter sets in. Dust ,dirt and bits for the scrap pile as well as shelves to tidy.

Always satisfying to reduce the clutter to give you room again.  Time for a nice hot bath. Don't forget the bubbles!

Wish I had a bath ,sigh, only have a shower. Time for one now before food shopping, need it to wake me up as had a toss and turn night with vivid dreams again that woke me up. Hard to go back to sleep with a busy scrambled brain.

Brain still full of cotton wool still managed to make the marinade for the chicken drumsticks. Have to sit in it in the fridge for a few hours before going in the oven.

Did the VW show, met my friend and he had the CB gear and we talked and drank coffee for a good 1/2 hr. Found the bits I wanted and back home for 1pm, legs ache as I walked for 1 1/2 hrs around the stalls and stuff.

Having a nice time watching the drag racing from Santa Pod and as the top fuel came on the Facebook feed went down GGGGGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Went down the workshop yesterday to find there had been a torrential rain storm (missed it I think where I live a few miles away) and it backed up into a pond in the yard. D had his shop flood and I had a good inch plus get in mine under the door, this is the side that normally stays dry. It was also the side I needed to finish cleaning, water got into my mains angle grinder, battery charger and power tool charger. Hope they all dry out, had to give up finishing the clean up after picking up stuff that was wet and bagging it as the floor was to wet to sweep.
 Spent the afternoon watching live feed FIA Euro drag racing on FB from the Pod, one of my friends in the hot rod club has raced since the 80s and his 3 lads were racing . They all went out in 1/4 finals by the smallest of margins, Lee lost by .003 sec. It didnt finish till 9pm as they had a late start from rain.
  Making green tomato chutney this morning and tomato with meat and yogurt later (thats a lamb curry). Washed my hair this morning and shedding loads, must brush them out before cooking!!! 

I know how you feel Davina.  I have had to clean up after a few hurricanes. They always help me find water leaks...always in the wrong places.  I don't want a water feature inside my house.

Went to my friends today to look at the hot rod T that he bought from another member of the hot rod club. Lot of stuff to do just to get a dry build done before a strip and final build, looks like I have a few days helping then. In my element then, making wiring, sorting welding and helping out. Had to keep saying "this is what I would do but its your car" but so far he aggress with me!

It is good that people recognize your expertise. Especially if it helps them achieve something they want, but might not be sure how to do it.

It started out as a road car build but J that was building it thought he might not be able to put it on the road legally so he started to turn it into a drag car. It has a registration document so will be okay so it is now being built as a road car again. J is suffering from dementia and looks like it was starting before folks noticed as there is some odd stuff going on and in the parts boxes. There is a place for a plaque on the dash so I said to Nick he should put one there for J from all that finished his vision.

Went to look at the wiring and starter fault on Brian's Comet, typical American bodge wiring job and a fire waiting to happen. 3 different cables joint with crimp connectors for main alternator cable, all renewed . Sorted some more stuff but need to go back next week to do a bit more. Have known Bri since 78/79 , only! got dead named 3 times and he did say sorry. Not helped by me having to take my hair off to get under car and dash.
