Come down with some sort of lurgy ,think its just a cold. Stayed home in the warm so looks like a sofa day.

Had a sausage sandwich, made me sweat from the spices in the Cumberland style. Next thing I woke up ! and feel a lot better, still have a slight head as they say around here.

Made a brownie recipe off the net (I blame someone of posting in cooking!!) for an air fryer. Simple to make but my air fryer cooked the out side and it was still raw in the centre , cooked it twice as long then managed to turn it over to cook under side. Still liquid in the centre, might set when cold? but hope its safe to eat. Made cabbage "curry" to go with tonight's dinner, at least that is okay.

Scooped the runny/soft bits up and cooked them in a small dish, nice for pudding with yogurt.

When I go to the UK I will try their fish and chips at a couple or more places.

Like all things you get great and you get bad, best is normally at a fishing port.

Brain fuzzy this morning, woke early and went back to sleep on and off. had a 20min kip this affty and fine now, brain just needed to reboot!
 Called on mum, retuned her telly as its ages since I did it last and mine tells me when updates need doing. Must have done mine 6 or more times since I last did hers. Also checked the thermostat setting on her electric fire and turned it down. She gave me a small cucumber from the greenhouse, last of the crop.
 Did a bit in the workshop, cleaned up my spotwelder and loaded it and some clamps and bits in the daily to take to Ns tomorrow. Called on Deb, dogs were glad to see me.

Something wrong with my spot welder, maybe water got in it. Good day otherwise working on the hot rod T sorting the new wiring loom to fit.

Have you thought of recipes that can be made with a spot welder?  Something for your new cookbook...

Easy job on Brian's Comet this morning, he had knocked a wire off! Adjusted the micro switches on the gear selector and all sorted ready for some drag strip action next year. We spent longer talking and drinking tea than working-----------

Seeing Allie take a break I keep thinking why do I post on my blog as nothing to do with being trans much, just living a normal life. But with my strangely wired brain I need to empty it of thoughts or they stick and keep going round. Example is the wiring on my friends hot rod, I would wake in the night and it was running through my thoughts. Cleared that by sorting it out and posting some.
 Back to life, shopping Thurs yet again and no clue what I will be getting for dinner-----------

I'll tell you Davina that for me your posts show us what it is like living life post-transition. You still have the same hobbies that you enjoy, which signals to others that you don't need to take up needlepoint just because you are trans. But your posts are not all about auto restoration either. Your cooking skills amaze me because I have never had them. Your creativity shows through too. (Confession: I still have a crush on Robbie the Robot.  ).

So your posts help you clear the clutter in your mind, and it helps us to see how our lives can be too when we are not struggling with our trans-specific issues. Keep posting, dear. We love your "ramblings".

Thanks dear, well on the cooking front its meat and cauliflower curry on the go as well as a fig tart in the oven. I made a Bakewell tart without the jam and stuck the 1/4rd figs in the top.

So I stripped the PCB out of my spot welder to see if there was any water damage, looked fine so put it back together and it worked. Buggered if I know what was wrong with it.
 Welded up the grille for the hot rod T, muscle in my side giving me grief after grinding the welds down. Its that slight stoop position that catches me out.
 New laptop battery, have to charge and discharge it twice to set it up.

I just knew it, can hardly stand up right this morning after yesterdays shenanigans welding and grinding. Have house work and cooking to do anyway, bed to change and food to cook. Lots of gentle stretching now to ease the muscles.

Trying to run the battery down!! There is an Austin A70 Hereford on e bay for £500 but its in Scotland , very rotten and past resto but would make a great hot rod. mmmmmmmmmm
