Quote from: Lori Dee on November 25, 2024, 08:59:52 AMI cut mine back in 2000. I mailed a twelve-inch-long ponytail to Locks of Love. They do the same thing for kids with alopecia or undergoing chemotherapy.

A couple of weeks later, they sent me a postcard saying thank you. It was adorable because it looked like a kid had written it and doodled on it, but it was a printed card. I still have it somewhere.

I think donating hair is a great thing. Thank you for that.
I will be meeting the donor of the wig later on as well

Getting in touch with a friend from Ireland last night. I have known her since 1995 coming over as an exchange student, her name is Lisa and asked me if I wanted to come over to visit for a week in June of next year. Told her yes and she said my new bob cut looked good. Good thing is she loves and accepts me as a friend still. Saw I was nervous when I first came out to her that I was going to transition and I was relieved she took it well. Both will be happy to see each other.

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

We have a tight friendship to this day. Did support me through my transition. Her family, I keep in touch with as well and have been great with the changes. I see Lisa as a sister in my life. I still remember the first school reunion in 2007, reaction was positive when everyone seen I changed appearance wise. Lisa saw I was nervous at first and comforted me with encouragement.

Each person who truly accepts you is a gift and we should be thankful.

Girl time with a niece of mine, with my niece Vanessa. Getting our nails done. She is also transgender into her 7th month of her transition living and dressing as female. Started her transition in April and came out in February as transgender. Doing great much happier and her transition is going well. Her FFS, trachea shave and breast augmentation are scheduled for February of next year. Has already decided not to have the GRS done too. Good thing is she has a great boyfriend she just started dating 5 weeks ago whom has been supporting her

Feeling  a lot better now  not getting  out of breath as much. Weather a lot warmer and dryer.  Went to  Booths  the posh supermarket  for some treats and met an old friend  I lost touch with  20 years ago.

My husband surprising me this morning, had a talk that he has always wanted to do and said he learned from me. Said he has always wanted to get in touch with his female side getting a MTF makeover done. I thought that was cool of him doing that. Luckily he is going with me to Ireland in June of next year and found a place that does those. Going to schedule this next month ahead of time

Taking a student of mine to a Sephora today, a make up consultation. She is a fulltime crossdresser and mom was glad I took her there. Happy her mom is supportive and saw her much happier seeing the results. Her name is Liz and she started at age 10, decided she likes being Liz fulltime last month.

I still see shadows of who I used to be, but this morning when I brushed my hair all I saw was 'her'.
