Thank you all for your moral and fashion support.  It really is appreciated...a lot.

It really felt right when I tried it on and I even liked the image looking back at me!  You're right O&C, it felt natural.

For those celebrating, Happy Thanksgiving!

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

Tell me what you all think...

To be the lone voice of dissent here... Emma, it doesn't do you justice. You act, feel, and look 20 years younger. And women in their 80s don't do the whole grey thing. It doesn't suit you, at least... it doesn't suit my image of you. You are not at that point yet. And you should not surrender to it! I could offer you a nice purple dye if you want, lol. ;)

As Dylan Thomas should have wrote:

"Do not go gentle into that good night,
Hair colour should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the highlight."

I don't see it as a gray gray, (translation grey grey  ;D ), but more of a silver. My neighbor went to the Paul Mitchell School and got her hair dyed silver. At first, I wondered if they dipped her head in chrome. But after a few washings, it softened and turned out just like this. I like the silver. Not a fan of the white/blue/gray I see on some ladies. But the silver looks great in the sunlight and indoors.

I thought gray hair was a sign of wisdom.

Fear not Sephirah I am keeping my auburn wig and I am just playing with the gray wig for a change of looks.  I have finally surrendered to the reality, barring a hair transplant that I really don't want to do, that I will need a wig.  So what the heck, I may try blonde or red next.

I will never act my age.  Juvenile regression is my favorite hobby!

I had a teacher who wore a different wig and glasses everyday. It was like having a new teacher day after day after day.

I don't seek attention through my appearance (My wit turns heads.), but the thing that garners me the most attention by far is my silver hair. Many women admire it.

I've even heard whispers, "She has the best hair."

Emma1017

And I wish I had your hair O&C!!!

Subbing today. Science again. Kids are starting to recognize me, which pretty cool...I think.😱

I subbed teaching again today—more science classes.  Teachers, staff, students, and even the school guard know me by name and this is only my fourth day.  It really felt special.  It doesn't matter that they see me as a guy.  They still see me as me and that is all that matters.

Amazingly Chrissy, that is really true.  I feel like people are seeing me because I finally have the ability to be me, even if the physical part is somewhere in the middle.

Dear Chrissy:
As you stated, EXACTLY the right thing to do:
          "Enjoy life, every precious day."
Thank you for sharing your positive thoughts.

We need more of that kind of thinking in these trying days.

The hair style of the wig looks great on you. Maybe you can try dying it to give it some flair.

When I was transitioning my therapist mentioned to me that some of the emotional regression I was feeling was simply me actually going out and interacting with people and living and not having much experience. Regress away and live the time you have. We don't get the time back.

It has to be such a weight off your shoulders. I'm happy for you.  ;D

In that positive vane, Lori and Danielle, I thought I would post this:

The beauty of films is that there is a choreography of art between the director, the actors, the music, and the cinematography that captures the pure essence of the story, whether it's the horror, the sadness, or the joy.

There are many types of transgender films that come close to feeling the pain of being transgender. There are many that also capture the strength and courage of simply being yourself in a hostile world. Occasionally, there are movies that make you feel the transgender moments of joy.

I just watched such a film for the fourth time yesterday, something I rarely ever do.
The name of the film is "Just Charlie".

I just watched such a film for the fourth time yesterday, something I rarely ever do.
The name of the film is "Just Charlie".

I cry every time.

Being transgender, you will feel every emotion in the movie.

If you don't have time for the movie, then watch the musical video below that shares the spirit of the film, and, if so inclined, sit down and watch it with a box of tissues.

I particularly love that it ends joyfully.

I really need that.

We all need a little more candle light in our lives.
